The biggest thing for the survival for next season looks to be a main team sponsor being found, lets hope one does,to lose the speedway would be a tradegy for Berwick.Speedway in the Berwick area is a minority sport but to those of us who go every week it means a great deal. I will put one small idea forward, and this has been mentioned to me before,we have in Berwick quite a large Polish population living and working in the Berwick area,as we know speedway is far bigger in Poland than here but theres not to many who go to watch Berwick, some I work with dont even know where Shielfield is.My idea is for Berwick Speedway to produce a few fliers to put in the Polish shop in Berwick(there certainly was one I hoping its still there).Might not get a massive response but might just get a extra few,and right now those extra few are worth having. It may be the case that the expense of printing a few posters outways the return through the turnstiles, which of course would be counter productive, but it worth a go.

Berwick V Rye Sat 27th Oct
screm replied to spittalbandit's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I wondering why the "ha",is it because you dont think Mr Doolan is a very good choice of guest,or is the cause for such merriment the fact that Gjedde cant make this meeting due to injury. -
Dont worry, our official site will pull-out all the stops over the next 6 days, reduced admission, attributed quotes to all our officialls and a big announcement.
-
As main team sponsor,no,but I do my little bit. You maybe right,if a main team sponsor and others arent found maybe we wont run atall.
-
Like I posted earlier,I though Berwick wouldve done the necessary not to be riding next saturday, lets hope the missing fans turn out for the Final.
-
Theres no doubt in Berwick running but what league seems to be the question.
-
Your right but a wins a win,and as Berwick away wins are about as rare as hens teeth Im not about to start quibbling about 6pts.
-
Why would we appeal,we won the meeting.
-
Thought Berwick wouldve done what was necessary to lose by the 12pts or whatever it was,but no,we have a Final to look forward to against Rye House.

God alone only knows what will happen if this metting is off,and we still have to race Workington away in the PL,though it looks like this might become the fixture that never was. -
Ryan Fisher to Leicester,be it EL or PL. I can see you being a bigger pain on this thread than any of the others your a pain on.
-
On what grounds, and why would the BSPA feel the need to re-asses Bridgers average. Like others have said he needs to be racing in the PL,with the chance of doubling up into the EL.
-
Your post is a good one,and this years summer weather has only made things worse.
-
Not shooting you down, like I said earlier your suggestion mightve helped any number of clubs out this season.
-
So we dare to put our opinion on here, its not excatly a crime,Woffinden is luck to be giving this wild card,on form alone.
-
It wouldve come in handy for most teams this season giving the rain we have had,but as WJM points out if we have a real summer theres the prospect of having your stadium empty once every month.
-
Troubled times ahead for the Monarchs, and as others have mentioned theres other clubs looking at their alternatives for the 2013 season,it might just be the PL will be looking very different come next March.

Confirmed 2013 Gp Riders!

Dear God. I dont blame Woffinden for accepting the GP invitation,he`d be mad not to.My problem is with BSI,it appears that Woffinden is in as the token Brit,IMO the 2013 GP series on form shouldve been a Brit free zone. -

Congratulation to Tai Woffinden on being next years token Brit,I see nothing in Woffindens league scoring that scream out GP rider. -
Some of the anti-Bowden posts have been a bit OTT at times, and thats not me having a dig at you personally, just answering your post. That said, giving some of the statements attributed to Bowden,I can well understand the ill-feeling toward your current promoter.

Then I hope thisfternoons meeting all goes well and Plymouth Speedway can look forward to a brighter future.
