Vissing`s on his way to Edinburgh. Sad to hear of Tullys injury, hopefully he`ll not miss to much of the season and will be back scoring points for the Diamonds very soon.
-
That was always the opinion of our former centre green presenter, team kevlars are the thing for now and the future and Im in favour of them, they make the sport look more professional. Take your point when using guests, maybe the club could invest in a couple or three spare suits. The Man Utd point is relevant though,on most saturdays one of their players runs round in all black blowing on a whistle from time to time.
-
The counter arguement has always been that team suits somehow take away the individualism of the rider, something I done agree with.I like teams in race suits for the reasons you give. Just an idea but I wonder if the club have thought of producing team shirts as merchandise, they could look like the top half of their team suits.
-
I wasnt there myself but looking at other media outlets I think the riders did have a go on the track.
-
Berwick will go with rider replacement on friday at Armadale, with Smith back into the team for the return on saturday. Berwicks 1-7 for the start of the season will be. 1 Ricky Ashworth (capt) 2 David Bellego 3 Kozza Smith 4 Matt Wethers 5 Robin Aspegren 6 Alex Edberg 7 Nicki Barrett

The 2013 Bandits, tidy looking race suits.
-
Agree about Wethers,he is Berwicks key rider in many ways, however his scores round Shielfield in his time with Edinburgh are heatleader scores to that has to be a positive.

1 Somerset 2 Leicester 3 Ipswich 4 Scunthorpe 5 Newcastle 6 Workington 7 Redcar 8 Berwick 9 Edinburgh 10 Plymouth 11 Rye House 12 Sheffield 13 Glasgow To be honest I couldve put my top three in any order, and much the same for positions four to eleven.Sadly I cant get Sheffield nor Glasgow out of the bottom two. However a couple of team changes for those two and they could quite easily climb the PL,for example if Vissing`s off to Edinburgh and Masters gets his visa sorted out then theres a top scoring rider sitting on the sidelines who could improve those teams no end. -
To some on here,I feel they were just waiting to stick the knife into Pearson & Tatum,no matter who the commentary team were. That said I thought they did ok,even if there was a little Aussie bias, but I didnt mind that to much.Best of all was the questions to Johnno about what riders were doing in the pits or at the start. Average GP which did come to life later on,Ward look fast early on but faded,Woffinden did fine, poor night for Holder.
-
FFFFFreezing, its probably as cold as it was for the Ben Fund meeting, you have to take your hat off to the brave souls going along to practice tonight.
-
Sorry but I completely disagree,I think the Berwick team is stronger without Albin, just out of interest which one of the Berwick 1-7 would you drop. I wish Albin all the best at Sheffield, but Im pleased he`s there and not with us.

Aye damn those Ruckies.

They are a funny lot down Ipswich way. -
If Koppe has anything about him Im sure he`ll work out the quick way round Sheffield soon enough,if he doesnt he has riders in Stead and Hall to give him some advice, not unless you want to of course.
-
Just what does a Sheffield rider look like.
-
All Ward needs to hear when he`s at the tapes come saturday is,"Quick Police".
-
Theres going have to be mega snow for the Q & A session to be called off,we`ll have to wait and see on the practice though. Ricky Ashworth is getting some practice at Sheffield tonight.
-
In my view young Woffinden is a tad fortunate to be in this years GP series, but thats water under the bridge now,so it is to be hoped that he takes this chance.Sadly I cant see a top eight finish for him.

And theres me think it was me.

Giving the forecast between now and saturday evening there`ll be plenty time for plenty questions. The track was white with snow this morning though that snow has gone now, along with the rest of Berwick, theres more snow showers forecast so whether there`ll be any practice might be a doubt.
-
As it says in the report the clock is ticking, and the Edinburgh promotion cant wait for ever,so you wonder if they are already looking along the lines of finding a possible,I said only possible, replacement. My vote would go to Claus Vissing. ;)
-
Why should an interval be mandatory, surely its better leaving that to the discretion of the on night referee.Theres plenty natural breaks for track grading etc,why we would need another break in racing is beyond me.
-
Ashworth being top of our averages will have to start at No1,Edberg & Barrett being our bottom two will start at 6 & 7.Bellego rode at two last year for a time Id expect he will start there this season,Smith will be at five IMO,leaving Aspedren & Wethers at three and four.
-
Bellego & Barrett based themselves in a house in Tweedmouth last year,it may well be that house has now been rented out to someone else.I hope they find their accomodation and workshops in Berwick as its nice to see our overseas riders committing to Berwick by actually living over here instead of flying in and out all the time. I wonder if the previous few posts were alcohol fueled.
