Berwick V Newcastle - Live On Sky - May 21st

Agree with that, though you`d like to think both clubs wouldve checked on the availability of their teams and made sure they have full teams. -
Fair enough,if we are allowed a guest for Bellego then Dyer would be everyones choice, that would let everyone in the team get an extra ride to.

Dont think its got anything thing to do with the PL,if SVEMO say they have to race in Sweden then they`ll be racing in Sweden,it may also come down to what fixture was arranged 1st.Do our 2 Swedes race in the Swedish Extraleague,I know they both race in the Allsvenskan League but that takes place on a Thursday. -
R/R for Bellego on saturday will only allow Wethers and the two reserves take rides. If Berwick do go with Dyer then Dyer will assume Ashworths average as this is the rider he is replacing, but as Fromafar said yesterday there are better alternatives around than Dyer as a guest for our No1.
-
Because I thought where you have 2 riders missing from the team, you are granted a guest for the higher averged rider and r/r for the lower, also as No1 we would be entitled to a guest anyway for Ashworth.Furthermore,Bellego is missing to ride for the French U-21s in Italy, maybe its one of those meetings where a PL club cannott use a guest, similar to the UEM meetings. And theres that to.

Looking at his scores it seems Newcastle have picked up another gem in young Kerr, its something that Newcastle promotion have a knack of doing over the years. -
From memory,Tabaka passed Edberg Ht2,Smith passed both Comets riders Ht4,Smith & Aarnio both made passes in Ht7.Thats four, making your post incorrect. Remember just because riders arent passing and re-passing,that doesnt mean there wasnt decent racing.Ht15 for example,Comets riders made the gate Harrison lead all the way,but there was great covering going on from Lawson who had both Berwick riders to contend with.

Great to hear theres some good racing somewhere in the PL. She mustve started her knitting last night as she missed a helluva a jump from Howarth. -
Get what your saying but Dyers on fire right now having just come off the back of an 18pt maximun last friday.Im not saying we should use Dyer but the post I answered had Dyer as a guest for Bellego, which I dont think we can do. Agree with most of your post, but 2 passes all night,I think not.
-
According to last nights programme Ashworth will be missing for anything up to a month. Berwick can use Dyer next week but only as cover for Ashworth.
-
And if I should faulter Would you open your heart out to me We should make love not war And live with peace in our hearts With the silencers and the way the bikes are now its mostly when the tracks are patchy that riders struggle it appears.
-
Agreed Bellego`s been excellent so far this season and will be a huge miss next saturday.
-
Agree, the track shape hasent and isnt going to change, and the shape the track is now is the same when Edberg was scoring well,I didnt hear to many complaints from him then. If Mr Edberg is un-happy,or is incapable of making the neccessary changes to man or machine that will see him among the points then he should stay at home at weekends and leave it to a rider who can. So its ok to slag off your fellow fans then. Yours Sincerely A turnip brained tunnel visioned thicko

Oh dear Oh dear.

Feeling your pain, improvements need to be made before this season disappears.

Thoughts with Emil and his family. Hope Pedersen & Ward are back very soon. -
As others have said the racing was better last night, still quite a few races from the gate, still quite a few strung out,but there was passing particularly on the 2nd bend from Smith, who was Berwicks best rider by far. Fair play to Workington, they only had the lead once all night and if your going to do that then the best time to do it is at the end of Ht15 and thanks to Lawson & Harrison, once they`d made the start that was pretty much that.Excellent night for Lawson, well backed up by Harrison and to a lesser extent Howarth who IMO was lucky to get a Ht9 win after clearly jumping at the start. As I said earlier Smith was excellent,Wethers & Bellego did their jobs,Bellegos score mightve been better had it not been for a blown engine at the tapes in Ht8.The form of Aspegren and once again Edberg must be a concern to the promotion. Yes the racing was better which is a plus, but another home defeat will see more supporters missing meetings as they are doing so already, and the attraction of fancy dress, better music etc wont bring them back. You think, gifted a 2nd place in Ht2 when Tabaka stopped, last in Ht6,yes a decent ride in Ht11 to keep Howarth behind him, then another last in Ht14,a Ht14 he should not of been in IMO as I think he shouldve been replaced by Barrett.
-
Ashworth could be out for a month, our season maybe all but over by then. On the face of things I agree, but from what to what I wouldnt know.We just need to get the riders out of the start.
-
What and Berwicks is,the loss of Bach might prove costly, though the form Tabaka has shown at Shielfield this season already could be a trump card.

Weatherwise, and its a great start to saturday, sunshine with virtually not a cloud in the sky.Forecast to stay that way to,hopefully there`ll be some good racing tonight with plenty there to see it.No doubt there`ll be more there tonight than there was last week as Workington normally bring over a fair few, plus the Comets will be looking at this meeting as a decent chance of an away win.
