  1. Giving the comments Barker has been making recently he is making a proper tool of himself.
  2. Dont care anymore Im in love with the Latvian start girl.
  3. It really would be one in the eye for all those who have had a go at Middleditch over his selections,it will be us and the Aussies who compete to make saturdays Final with Austrailia coming out on top just, with Latvia in third and the USA in fourth.I think Latvia will get an awful lot close to Team GB and Austrailia than some think.
  4. If there was ever an extra incentive for the GB boys thats this is it.
  5. And so he should,if we make the Final then its 3rd place at best for me on saturday.
  6. Dont mind Barker getting a go,but not Bridger IMO if he has a poor 1st ride his confidence goes, his head drops and he seems incapable of salvaging something for the rest of the night.Maybe this could expain why he hasnt made any significant steps forward in his career.
  7. Why dont Redcar just go the whole hog and sign brother Ritchie.
  8. IMO theres no reason why the GB team cant get to saturdays final,Hancock is certainly capable of winning races but theres not much after that for the USA,Latvia showed in Poland last sunday they can be compeditive but I think the finals beyond them.Next come the Aussies,Ward of course is world class, and to a lesser extent Batchelor but theres points to be gained from Doyle and Watt.
  9. Challenge matches would be financial suicide IMO. Your correct though,if you have a poor season you end up with blank saturday nights with no racing and an early end to the season, some PL clubs are fighting for play-off places and KOCs,sadly Berwick are fighting to get their season into September.
  10. Is there anybody out there who hasnt had some kind of run in with Barker.
  11. Apparently Bridger has assured Middleditch that he has fast bikes out in Poland, lets all hope thats true.
  12. I think the majority of us applauded Middleditch for choosing Cook, maybe not so many went with the Kennett selection though.Cok did reasonably well on Monday and IMO deserved another go in the play-off. I agree with you on the treatment of Kennett last Monday,it did seem odd,it looked to me like Middleditch didnt want Kennett there in the first place as he showed little confidence in him on the night.
  13. One ot two from SA would have something to say about that.
  14. Excellent post,I wouldve gone with Cook in the Play-Off simply because I dont see us making saturdays Final,so the experience Cook wouldve gained could be valueable this time next year.Quite happy that Kennett has been given the chop,he was hopeless last night,Barker seems to be in good form now so should be given a go.
  15. Middleditch has proved himself to be a decent manager at club and international level,I dont see Rossitor or Havelock or anyone else for that matter getting more from the riders selected,no matter who they are. Lets face it,things could get worse before they get better.
  16. You have indeed though losing at home is something Berwick have been quite good at this season.
  17. Granted but Dyer has had a big say on Redcar having a decent season so far. On an unrelated topic,Im liking the face painting last night.
  18. EL snobbery at work here IMO,Cook has been excellent in both EL & PL this season for his clubs, and fully deserved his shot in the SWC.IMO he let nobody down and was well in most of his races, maybe just lacking that bit of experience at times. If the likes of Cook is the future of Team GB then just what Cook is expected to learn sitting at home watching the Play-Offs sat at home. So Barker & Bridger get their go on Thursday,Barker has had plenty to say on the subject, especially at the 4s last sunday so lets see if Barker can walk the walk as well as talking the talk.As for Bridger, well he has a big opinion of himself and will be found out as in previous big meetings.
  19. On your first point I agree, from my view there was no contact between Bellego & Cook, just a racing accident. On your second point, the less refereeing Horley does the better IMO.
  20. Thats terrible,I thought we were bad in taking aboy 40 mins to get out the field. Other than the car parking I thoroughly enjoyed my 1st trip to Kings Lynn.
  21. Starke has done more than could ever have been asked of him in general, fair to say hes had one or two quieter meetings of late but he was certainly back on form last saturday. Kozza Smith is taking part in the Longtrack GP Qualifier in September, should he be successful then it would be daft to sign him at Berwick next season given the amount of saturday nights he be missing.
  22. Delighted to read that Bellego & Tungate have got away reasonably ok from their crash on sunday,it was shocking to see it and giving the care they were getting from the 1st aid team there looked to be extensive injuries.Horrible to see Tungate disappear under the fence, surely there must be a way of securing the air fence to the ground. Obviously the length of meeting was no good to anybody, especially on a hot day like sunday was.Understandably care needed to be taking to the three injured riders, but those delays were made a all the worse with the others, tape malfunctions, arguements of tyres, and a referee who clearly was way out of her depth.
  23. Probably not,Ive was staying in Peterborough over sunday and monday and last night it took as long to get out of the car park than the journey back to Peterborough.Maybe you could move it to the EoES,theres ample parking there.
