  1. Dry in Berwick overnight, chance of a shower this afternoon but it wont amount to much,so we are all set fait for a cracking nights speedway. As a result of an accident last night Armadale there`ll be a change at meeting reserve with Robert Branford suffering an arm/elbow injury.
  2. Shouldnt be any problems weatherwise,Monday was a wet day but apart from that its been mostly dry and reasonably warm this week.Forecast overnight is dry and mild, tomorrow will be a mostly dry day, chance of a shower or two in the afternoon but these will be scattered so we are just as likely to miss them than get them. I will post a weather update as regular as is needed, but I cant see there being any problems.
  3. In general Bellego has been impressive for most of this season, particularly at Berwick, which is why I think he can shock the speedway world and take tomorrows meeting.
  4. Giving the form that Bellegos in at the minute, hes every chance of winning on the night.Infact I think he will, what the hell go Bellego.
  5. Ive every simpathy for Lee having to go through the break up of a long term relationship, but having turned to drugs Im afraid he will have to face up for his actions.
  6. For those of you who aren't aware yet, or haven't been onto the official site, the Ben Fund collection last Saturday night raised £1541-90.A fantastic effort from the Berwick and Edinburgh fans, and those who were there to support neither.
  7. Rickys sister posted on Twitter last night that he would have a further scan today,on the results of that scan the doctors would decide if they could start to bring Ricky out of his induced coma,so fingers crossed for him today.
  8. Didn't put it my post last night, but I was pleasantly surprised as to how good the crowd looked last night, hopefully that would've swelled the Ben Fund collection that took place. Certainly when the buckets came by me they looked pretty full.
  9. It was announced that Ashworths condition remains unchanged from what was announced this morning,he is in the best place and recieving the very best of care from the medical team at Hull.A tribute was also paid to the track side medical team at Scunthorpe for their treatment of Ricky and the speed in which he was transfered to the local A&E.Over the next 24-48hrs Ricky will under go a medical precedure that will aid him to come out of his coma, when theres something to annouce Berwick will do it via their website. Cracking meeting I saw tonight, not a massive amount of passing but the racing was always close as was the scoreline so it was exciting stuff.Edinburgh looked well in command right up to half way where they lead 22-26 but two crucial 5-1s in Ht9 & 10 not only got Berwick back into the meeting but into the lead,a lead they were never to surrender.Infact but for a couple of retirements,Wethers Ht3 while on a 5-1 and Barret while in scoring position in Ht14,though in Barrets case when you leave a puddle of fuel at the start line like he did your bound to be in a bit of bother. All in all a very enjoyable nights speedway.
  10. Ive not seen any annoucement on guests to I take it Berwick will go with r/r with everyone being able to take a ride.Im sure the managements thoughts today will have been with our No1 so looking for guests would not have been upmost in their minds, also with quite a few other PL teams riding tonight it wouldve been a nightmare trying to get an adequate rider. Im sure it will be difficult for all 13 riders to go out and race tonight as Im sure their thoughts will all be with their teamate, rival and friend Ricky Ashworth. But when the helmet goes on and the googles come down they do what they do best, and race.
  11. Bright and breezy start to today, one or two clouds around but the forecast is good for the rest of the day.
  12. Following yesterday’s major crash involving Berwick Bandit’s number one Ricky Ashworth at Scunthorpe, Berwick Speedway Club have issued this update at 9.00am: Ricky had been moved from Scunthorpe to a specialist neurological ward in Hull, but as yet has still to regain consciousness and remains in a stabalised condition. He has been admitted to an intensive care where his condition remains serious and doctors will monitor his recovery. The next official comment from Berwick Speedway Club will come during tonight’s meeting at Shielfield
  13. Nicki Pedersen Emil Sayfutdinov Tai Woffinden Darcy Ward
  14. It looks like Berwick will release a statement somewhere around 9am this morning, hopefully there will be good news on what sounds a very worrying situation from last night. Gutted for Ashworth,Im sure hes in the best possible hands with the medical team he has treating him, lets hope for some good news later on today.
  15. Aspegren coming back into the team has to make Berwick stronger than they were last night at Ipswich,so Im hoping for more than 37pts.The Scunthorpe track should suit our riders so I think Scunthorpe will win but the Berwick management must be looking for a point.
  16. Lots of ifs though,if theres a reduction in the points limit, and if Ashworth either wants or is wanted back at Berwick. Best address the issues there is now.
  17. Sadly an all to familiar story for Berwick on their travels this season,a story that Im sure will continue at Scunthorpe tonight. Ashworths scoring must becomming a real concern now,I saw him in the 4s at Peterborough where he looked good, sadly his PL scores are not what they should be for a No1.He needs to rediscover the scoring we all know he is capable of,for himself and more importantly for the team.
  18. That`ll be Mr Dick Barrie,he is neither manager nor promoter, but he is the regular Berwick announcer.
  19. Weathers pretty much set fair between now and saturday, chance of a light shower overnight tonight, but friday and better still saturday should be dry and bright with good amounts of warm sunshine.
  20. The Scunthorpe press release may very well be "boring as fluk",as was so eloquently put earlier on,but my point is a simple one and on the face of it easily to remedy. Before releasing Mr press release have a read through and correct any mistakes,it cant be that hard.
  21. Snedden at reserve could be a real trump card,he`s always scored reasonably well round Berwick while in the main body of the team, that scoring could prove to be a match winner if he`s giving extra rides.
  22. Fair enough, thats an opinion your more than entitled to.However, last week I pointed out a mistake in the Glasgow & Under-21 preview press release from Berwick.Giving that Berwick are calling next weeks meeting as "one of the biggest ever",you wouldve thought there would have been a read through as much to my amazement the mistake is still there, and thats just plain careless. And here it is.......Dudel. The presence of two young riders (Dudel and Bech) who have already been in World Cup-winning teams highlights the quality of the field. In addition, 18-year-old Mikkel Michelsen made a dramatic Elite League debut on Sky TV on Monday, and must be a favoured competitor.
  23. How pleasing it would be to see Berwick get something, but their form this season away from home suggests not.
