  1. Im sure you`ll agree that the mecca for any rider is to sample Shielfield, sadly our season ended a couple of weeks ago so young Mr Lambert will just have to make do with Brough Park.
  2. Bit of an extra treat for those attending this match,it seems that the teenage sensation that is Robert Lambert will be doing some practice laps after the main event.
  3. A Scottish speedway rider of any kind of standard is thin on the ground right.
  4. If theres no Sky deal then Leicester would be crazy to join the EL,if Sky do re-new their deal then I suppose the extra money will be a temptation.Seems to me the biggest factor in favour of Leicester joining the EL is geographical with the other EL clubs around them
  5. As has been debated on other threads on this forum it might have more to do with the changes in the bikes rather than the circuit itself, still looking forward to my trip over to Prague though.
  6. Dont Newcastle still have the honour of hosting Berwick in the 2nd leg of the much heralded Tyne/Tweed Trophy.
  7. Dont worry there`ll be plenty of money for drink.I might wait till the start of next season, the guy I sit next to at Berwick (good evening Alan) helps organise the trips for Travel-Plus,I`ll have a word with him.
  8. Easyjet fly from Edinburgh to Prague, depart Thursday come back Monday £118,thats including insurance and booking in bags etc.
  9. Wont any Sky deal have to be agreed by the time of the conference, maybe not contracts signed but a firm yes or no from Sky,though I must admit I fear speedway has missed the boat.
  10. Your right but having looked at the flights and the like its pretty cheap, dont worry about the racing I go to Berwick every week so quite used to crap racing.
  11. Excellent, time to book the flights,my first European GP infact my first GP full stop.
  12. At no point in the last few seasons have I though Berwick had a team that would challenge for the PL title, but nor did I think we`d have a team that would finish just a place or two from bottom and our season finishing in September, and had it not been for a rain-off and the Ashworth meeting our season wouldnt have made even that. The team that had Rymel,Rempala(Marcin),etc seemed to be going places then was torn to pieces by injury, since then we`ve been promised much but realised very little. One things for certain theres going to be alot of interesting eyes cast as our promotion puts the 2014 team together.
  13. Can we take it as confirmed that the Czech GP will take place on May 31st.
  14. But no better than Paul Starke IMO,a reserve pairing from Branford,Starke and Carr would be very weak.If Carr is to be one of the reserves than his partner had better be a decent points scorer both home and away on a regular bases.
  15. Absolutely, we've had decent teams on paper at the start of the last few seasons yet somehow some of the riders seems to get away with under performing on a regular bases.Of course nobody wants the riders to ride with fear of losing their jobs but I don't think it does any harm to let them know that poor performances wont be tolerated either and that's what part of the managers job is. Survival in this current climate is an achievement in itself for Berwick.
  16. Possibly true with some but certainly not others. Agree with you and hopefully Carr does the job, we cant carry riders, been there before and it failed miserably.Im sure on decent gear Liam Carr will do ok.
  17. Liam Carr seems to be stitched on as one of the reserves for next season, that's bound to spell bad news for Paul Starke, that IMO would be very hard on Starke as he did all that was expected of him in 2013.Still not convinced that Carr wouldn't be better off signing full time for an NL side and doubling up with Berwick as he did in the season just gone but it appears its now or never to sign Carr as other clubs seem to be shown an interest in him to.
  18. There is no possible way that Birmingham can win, tonight or overall, mark my words.
  19. Its about getting the job done, and Greg Hancock has a record that proves he gets the job done better than most.
  20. Cant see past Poole overall for this Final,IMO Birminghams lack of top end power will be found out over the two ties.I think the score for tomorrow night might be something along the lines of last weeks efforts against Swindon.
  21. I think you`ll find that Dyer will rise from his sick bed and take his place in the Poole team.
  22. Thats hardly a boast to be proud of though is it.
  23. Surely one of the riders who are at the minute already replacing injured rider,Holder,Sayfudinov etc, would come in should Holder not make the start of the GP series.
