  1. Harris is indeed the next rider in line from last years GP Challenge meeting to qualify for next years series, should the chance ever arise.Well it has arose,so Harris has taken his chance, and no one can blame him for that. But come on people there is nothing to suggest that Harris will be anything other than an emmbrassment next year, and dont give me this whooey about we said the same about Woffinden last year.Anybody that thinks that Harris could be 2014 World Champ needs serious help.
  2. I bow to your superior knowlege on the details of the deal that took Berge to Glasgow, and your knowlege on the deal Berwick offered Berge, if there was a deal offered at all of course. The Glasgow promotion, of course, may see that any out lay now will be a sound investment, especially if Berge proves to be any good. Also, last week most Berwick posters saw Berge as an ideal kind of signing, now he`s joined Glasgow it seems young Berge isnt quite as good as he was. Very odd.
  3. I would've liked to have seen Starke return, I'm not so sure that Carr is ready for a fulltime season in the PL, this is where I agree with our team manager.
  4. Doolan will make a decent signing, though hardly likely to increase his starting average, but will be good back-up to our No1. Cant help thinking missing out on Berge and/or Starke will be more significant for Berwick.
  5. Kenneth Kruse Hansen ‏@KennethKHansen 8 Dec @Geordiepete1 If I had I would not tell it on here Buddy #bandits2014 Theres certainly a hint there somewhere.
  6. Ive always liked our team to have an out and out No1,but in truth I dont see that working next year if Carr is one of the reserves.Like you say if Carrs in then his reserve partner must be one of the highest averaging reserves around.
  7. Always good for conspiracy theorists.
  8. You can bet the owner will have a snyper placed on the walls above from now on.
  9. Now that it seems that Josef Tabaka will miss the start of next season, wonder if that inceases the chances of Edinburgh using Matty Wethers. We`ve named our teams, debated them, suggested other riders and debated them also, with only one rider signed so far its little wonder that this thread has slightly go off subject. Wait any longer and we`ll be debating Berwicks nicest car parks.
  10. We do seem to be lagging behind, but Im sure the promotion have it all under control and they have a team ready for 2014. Well we can hope cant we. Something we are all guilty of.
  11. Me thinkith he doth take this forum a bit to seriously.
  12. He may well be the next in line, and I wish him the very best of luck, but he was consistantly hopeless in his last go at GP level and Ive seen very little since that would make me think it will be any different this time round.
  13. Agree with you,I posted a while back that the pressures on the promotion to come up with the goods after a few seasons now of lowly finishes. They mustve learned by now whats required to put a good team together, and learned how other promotions go about putting successful teams together, and making contacts along the way to attract riders from here and overseas.
  14. Surely Chris Harris cant get a wildcard pick for next year, its just plain wrong.
  15. I think that the Berwick promotion would look at someone like Kevin Doolan rather than Karlsson or Niemenen.Must admit, with the other teams filling up,it does appear that we are lagging behind somewhat.Hopefully it will all come together in the end.
  16. He has signed a contract to ride in Poland on 2014,he has dabbled in the Longtracks which has caused some problems in missing Berwicks meetings.Something I hope that wont happen next year.
  17. Very impressive start to the Redcar team, add a decent reserve to what they have already and the Bears could really be in business.
  18. Bellegos gating does let him down at times, and if he to make the step from being dependible second string to dominant heat leader, then he needs to be more sharper away from the starts. Also he has struggled in some away meetings, one look at the averages will tell you that.Last year Bellego averaged 8-57,which is very good, though only 5-78 away, again like his gating his away scoring needs to be more consistant. Overall though Im pleased to see Bellego back, hopefully he will get an EL club,if that happens he can become a decent PL rider for Berwick. Certainly going to be a very different looking Berwick team that takes to the track next year.Kozza Smith off to Redcar,Starke off to Somerset and Ricky Ashworth currently recovering from injury. Its difficult to see Aspgren & Edberg coming back and we already know that Barrett wont return.
  19. Pleased to see Bellego back, hopefully he will continue to improve in 2014,and if he gets a doubling up position then so much the better for him and Berwick. Sad to see Starke not returning as I think 2014 could be a big year for him, but his move to Somerset makes all kinds of sense for him, and as it says on the Berwick site he goes with everyone's best wishes, so hopefully there`ll be no mischief makers on here. Some hope I think.
  20. If thats true then that must rule Berge out of the Berwick team in 2014. Impressive though he was,can you really sign Vissing on the Ben Fund performance alone.
  21. Maybe they could have a special one for who comes first.
  22. Signing Berge would make all kinds of sense, not least he would become a club asset. Not so sure he make his 5pt average but having another Frenchman in the team would certainly help him settle in. Id like to see Starke back, did very little wrong last season and deserves another go IMO,and now he is going to get added EL experience then Berwick might get the benefit of that. Problem is for him its a case of now or never for signing Liam Carr as its certain that if Berwick don't sign him then Edinburgh certainly will. Must admit I've got my reservations with Carr, but a reserve partnership of Carr & Starke would be no good at all for Berwick.
