  1. As promised teams are now confirmed in post one. Weather forecast for Saturday, Saturday will be a generally dull day but thankfully it will stay dry for the most, any rain will be light and short lived. Winds will be easterly with temperatures at race time around 6-7 degrees.
  2. Maybe its part of the sanctions from the UN over Ukraine.
  3. What is wrong with everybody, Holder caused Pedersen to crash and was rightly excluded.
  4. Could it have something to do with Pedersen & NKI being better.
  5. Gonna be a long night....but a very funny one.
  6. Fantastic edition, congratulations to all at Speedway Star.
  7. Gazettespeedway 12m @RedcarBears v Berwick has again been postponed tonight because of a waterlogged track. It will be restaged but no date yet #speedway
  8. Mr H is at the end of a very long list of people I`m likely to upset. I was hoping to update the Redcar 1-7 this evening as the Bears took on the Bandits, but as the rain in Redcar fell mainly on the track it wasn't to be, hope for better luck tomorrow night.
  9. Its only Thursday, you wait till some Speedway Star readers get their copies tomorrow. Are you doing signing sessions at Brough Park this Sunday.
  10. In Lawsons case its quite understandable, there is no way Lakeside would've agreed to release him from their Elite League fixture with Swindon so he can race for Redcar in what's not much more than official practice.
  11. No Lawson tomorrow night for Redcar, they will use a guest.
  12. Hopefully the rain will miss Ipswich, they are currently watering the track at Foxhall.
  13. Can we take it everyone was either at work, on holiday, or just plain busy when the Speedway Star was looking for someone to do the Fansview feature for the Newcastle team for 2014.
  14. Gorgeous in Berwick at the minute, but then again it usually is.
  15. I got the Berwick line-up from the official site but there's no mention of the Redcar 1-7 on their site. Doesn't take to much working out however as Lawson has to be at one with Graveson and Crang in the reserve positions. After tonight's meeting I will update the Redcar 1-7 ready for Saturdays match.
  16. As you say its consistent track prep that the home riders need, something that doesn't happen at Berwick. However I'm sure lessons have been learned and this season the Shielfield track will be better for it. This "can you do any better" argument is just childish.
  17. Berwick 1 Kevin Doolan 2 David Bellego 3 Matej Kus 4 Mathew Wethers (capt) 5 Claus Vissing 6 Liam Carr 7 Steen Jensen Redcar (not in riding order) 1 Richard Lawson 2 Carl Wilkinson 3 Hugh Skidmore 4 Richard Hall 5 Aaron Summers (capt) 6 Jan Graversen 7 Luke Crang
  18. TONIGHT'S Elite League opener at Perry Barr between Birmingham and Belle Vue is set to go ahead as planned with the track reported to be in good shape. The weather is now dry at the stadium with blue sky just breaking through. UPDATE POSTED AT: 4.05PM Seems it was all systems go less than 3hrs ago.
  19. Redcar get their season underway tomorrow night in the first leg of the Tees-Tweed Trophy against Berwick and captain Aaron Summers is hopeful of a big season with the Bears. The 26-year-old Aussie is about to start his fourth campaign at the South Tees Motorsport Park and after the Bears reached the play-offs last season, the former Edinburgh and Birmingham rider is hoping for similar success this time around. Speaking at last week’s Northern Speedway launch at Newcastle, Summers said: “The team looks really good. Everyone looked sharp at practice on Saturday so we’re looking forward to the meetings. Hopefully it’ll be a good year and we can get some silverware come the end of it.” Summers begins the season on an average of 7.14 and despite that being down on the past couple of years, he is aiming for Richard Lawson’s No.1 race jacket in 2014. He said: “I’m always going to be aiming for a No. 1 spot. I just missed out last year and I’ve invested pretty hard over the winter on new gear. “I’ve also got a new sponsor with Media Prima on board. They’ve helped me out a lot and I’ve also got a couple of new lads from Middlesbrough who are helping me out with my bikes.” The Redcar skipper has doubled up in the Elite League with Coventry in the past two seasons and despite the new team rules forcing him out of their plans in 2014, Summers is hopeful of picking up something in the weeks ahead. “I’m just racing in the Premier League at the moment but I could do with riding in the Elite League as well so hopefully in a few weeks I’ll be able to pick something up. “There are also talks of a few meetings in Europe too. Redcar clashes with a couple I’ve been offered already but there’s a few in Germany I might try and do and it’ll be good to get out there.” Redcar host Berwick tomorrow night in the first leg of the Tees-Tweed Trophy at the South Tees Motorsport Park with the return leg at Shielfield Park on Saturday.
  20. Leon Flint won the Mini bike Northern Championships last weekend.
