  1. Harris did indeed have a decent night last night, that has to become the norm rather than the exception over the next few weeks, lets see how in goes in Poland today and in the GP next week.
  2. Unless they make changes IMO Birmingham have bottom place nailed on.
  3. Cook has been named as one of the riders in the Berwick round along with Harris.
  4. I sit in the stand and as you say the red lights came on almost straight away, sad thing was the in field track staff seemed oblivious to the whole thing, almost for a full lap.
  5. With the tracks being reasonably similar in size and shape there`s no reason why Berwick cant make a meeting of this, alas that hasn't always been the case, hopefully this time will be different.
  6. IMO it should be based on who has the best chance of getting a GB rider into next years GP series, right now given the form of all the GB riders Nicholls deserves that chance, should he want to of course.
  7. Largely unimpressive first half of the meeting with virtually no passing and from the gate racing, that changed for the second half of the meeting with inparticularly Jensen lighting up Shielfield with a thrilling last to first in Ht8. Workington with two 5-1s in Hts 10 & 11 looked to have a winning lead but Berwick set up a thrilling Ht15 with Vissing and Wethers being the Bandits hero`s, though Vissing might have got away with a jump start in the re-run of the last race having already been warned for jumping the start in the first running. A welcome win but you still get the feeling there`s parts of the team that are under performing, if Berwick are to do anything in the PL this season they will need a fully functioning team. What a good signing Vissing is turning out to be.
  8. Giving the younger riders a go I understand, though by now you would think Rossiter would have known Danny King was never going to get to any GP series anytime soon but he has still been given one of the places.
  9. Not even the poet laureate could find the words to describe the beauty of Berwick this morning. No worries weather-wise for this meeting.
  10. What Gollob was an alleged arsonist when he was younger.
  11. Weathers set fair for Berwick tomorrow, its been gorgeous today and more of the same tomorrow though it will be a bit more breezy than today.
  12. Maybe he`s was just counting the thirty miles that goes out in the North Sea.
  13. The form Nicholls has started the season in you wonder if he would fancy at least having a crack at getting back into the GPs.
  14. Don't you know drinking on an empty head can be dangerous.
  15. I suppose having a large catchment area gives you the chance to promote your club to more people, but the point remains if those people you are preaching to aren't listen you could have as big an area as you want. Take London, biggest catchment area of them all yet no speedway team. As others have posted speedway is dieing on its rear end right now, lets hope it gets back to where it could and should be very soon.
  16. It doesn't matter how many people are in any catchment area, its all about how many people get their backside trackside to support their speedway.
  17. Hugely interesting, but irrelevant, not unless you want to post average attendances at these tracks compared to Berwick.
  18. Much like you after finding out your mate`s been humping your bird.
  19. Sadly for the Tigers this could get very....very untiday.
  20. There was no direct quotes from Harris in last weeks Speedway Star, so at least we were spared that. I`m sure has there been it wont have been anything that we haven't heard before.
  21. Edinburgh have been successful on a consistent bases over the last few years, as have Newcastle, they seem to be able to manage on track success with off track stability so why cant Berwick.
  22. PIRATES reserve Kyle Newman sustained a ruptured thigh muscle in a crash at Peterborough last night, an X-ray has confirmed. The Poole-born youngster was riding for Plymouth in the Premier League Cup when he fell in heat 12 while trying to pass Ales Dryml at the East of England Showground. Two sets of X-rays were carried out yesterday and today respectively, with the second revealing the thigh problem, although Newman escaped without any broken bones. The Fast Track rider has been in superb form in the opening two meetings of the Elite League campaign.
