Good news is that the injury suffered by Aaron Fox last night isn't quite as bad as it might've been. He does not need a skin graft to his thigh, he has received stitches. so hopefully he wont be out for all that long. -
Gp Qualifier Sat June 7th @ Berwick
screm replied to screm's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
We are informed that the Danish authorities have named current GP rider Kenneth Bjerre (currently in Tampere at yesterday's practice and aiming to take his place in tonight's Finnish Grand Prix despite a recently-broken collar-bone) and 4-time Grand Prix winner Hans Andersen as their nation's contestants in our huge FIM qualifier in three weeks. Two quality Danish stars, right out of the very top drawer! We hope to learn of Poland's nominations early next week, after a qualification event there on Sunday. It has been confirmed the public will be permitted access to official practice on the Saturday. Doors will be open from 11.45am until 2pm, with the riders on track for one hour, from 12.30. -
I would never use the ignore feature, I don't this forum serious enough, my point earlier was if certain people are not happy with my posts then they should exercise the ignore feature.
-
I`ve seen or heard nothing that would tell me he wont be.

Berwick V Ipswich (may 17)
screm replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Because of work and the weather last week this will be my first Berwick meeting in three weeks, really looking forward to it, weathers set fair and should the Ipswich riders all come through tonight's meeting at Armadale then I think this could be a cracking meeting, Ipswich have a decent record at Shielfield so its time they tasted a defeat, hopefully tomorrow will be that day. -
Ksprazak has pulled out of the GP with a knee injury.

Come come now our standard bearer is the epitome of vocabulary, the best of the best, the numero uno, the big cheese. Thing is there`s an ignore feature on this form with which I could become acquainted with should any poster feel it necessary. I made an error in my post, I admit it, I actually posted that last evening but if it gives some a tingle then I`m delighted.
-
Fair enough I made an error, and was big enough to admit. Its obvious you have appointed yourself as the standard bearer on all matters Berwick, fair enough, we can all try harder to reach those standards.
-
How`s Berwick`s quest for their return to Berrington.

This is the line up, including reserves that was posted two days ago. 1. Ulrich Ostergaard, FSK 2. Jonas B. Andersen, BSC 3. Nicklas Porsing, OSC 4. Hans Andersen, VBMK 5. Nicolai Klindt, OSC 6. NIels-Kristian Iversen, HSK 7. Jesper Sogaard, MSM 8. Mikkel Michelsen, SSK 9. Bjarne Pedersen, HoSK 10. Leon Madsen, SSK 11. Nicki Pedersen, HSK 12. Kenni Larsen, MSC 13. Michael Jepsen Jensen, GSK 14. Mads Korneliussen, OSC 15. Peter Kildemand, FSK 16. Mikkel Bech, MSM 17. Kenneth Hansen, SSK 18. Morten Risager, SSC Had Vissing been first reserve he would surely have called into the meeting proper after Nicki Pedersen withdrew after an infection. Point is there`s no Vissing in Denmark, he should be at Redcar IMO.
-
You sure.
-
Your right, I hope we get an explanation from Berwick Speedway as to why Vissing is not at Redcar tonight. Is there an injury ?.
-
You mention Liam Carr, he has done reasonably well with good scores and some poor ones, but Steen Jensen has now hit some kind of form so any deficiencies in Carr`s scoring is been more than made up for by Jensen's scoring. Newcastle need something similar from Greenwood`s fellow reserve.

PETERBOROUGH have given Danish ace Lasse Bjerre permission to race in the Elite League. Bjerre has clinched a return to former club Leicester. The 20 year-old raced for the Lions in the last two seasons and booked his place in the World Under 21 Final with a fine performance at the Jordan Road Surfacing Stadium last Saturday. 'TC Harrison' Panthers supremo Mick Horton reckons the move will be a benefit to everyone involved. Horton said: "I had a call from Leicester asking for my permission to allow them to speak to Lasse - and I gave it immediately. "Lasse has been in terrific form so far this season and there is no doubt in my mind that he can be successful in the Elite League. "He is already a proven performer at Leicester and this move should work out well for Lasse and both clubs." Panthers will take priority in the event of a fixture clash with Leicester. Bjerre lines up for Panthers in their Premier League clash at Ipswich tonight.

Berwick V Ipswich (may 17)
screm replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Weather forecast is very decent between now and Saturday night, dry with some sunshine from now till well after speedway time. -
Odd shaped track, aye its those right turns that's the problem.
-
Greenwood is averaging 7-11 in the NL where Greaves is averaging 4-00, if averages is your thing then make of that what you will. With the amount of points Newcastle had to play with hopefully Greenwood will chip in a few points.
-
Dan Greenwood isn't an asset of anyone at the minute, so one added attraction for Newcastle will be that they might get a club asset out of it.
-
Then the ticker tape open top bus tour needs to be planned then.
-
Kenneth Bjerre #91 @kenneth_bjerre 20h Not the news I wanted to hear from the doctors today, but I will be at the tapes in Finland SGP on Saturday. @SpeedwayGP Bjerre tweeted this yesterday, may be that Monday could be a bit soon for a return.
-
Your only saying that because we might end up with the Cup.

Dan Greenwood of the Coventry Storm is, subject to BSPA approval, to join the Newcastle Sapphire Engineering Diamonds in time for Sunday’s home Premier League derby clash with Redcar. The midlands based 20 year old has a hugely successful background in junior racing and was a part of the all-conquering Dudley squad of 2013. He currently rides for the Coventry Storm in the National League and is eager to progress his speedway education with a berth in the Premier League. Newcastle team boss George English said: "We are pleased to welcome Dan to Brough and hope that we can aid him in his intention to make further progress in the sport. "We would like to acknowledge the assistance of Laurence Rogers of the Coventry Storm who aided this move and we all look forward to watching Dan's progress with great interest."
