  1. Just because the FIM have done the wrong thing in previous years, doesn't mean to say they have to do the wrong thing this year, though knowing the FIM they will do as they wish.
  2. How so, surely like any other team the rider and mechanic will talk through any changes that`s about to be made to the bikes, not unless your suggesting Lindgren`s mechanic is making changes to Ludvig`s bikes without his knowledge.
  3. True, but its tough on a rider where he might've got a chance for a GP Challenge place, only to be denied because the Italians are trying to get a few extra through the gate. Its not as if there`s an Italian rider out there good enough to get through to the Challenge meeting by right.
  4. FIM cant start parachuting riders into the GP Challenge, the riders either qualify by right by going through the qualification system or they don't, injuries included. We have two Semi-Finals, surely you take 8+1 from each.
  5. Not at all, Berwick, after one or two teething problems last Saturday, have once again proved they can handle the big meetings, as they did with the Sky match last year with Newcastle. Sky know we can deliver a decent presentation with a well promoted meeting, that has to count for something. A Berwick v Edinburgh (example) meeting on Sky would be a thriller indeed.
  6. David Bellego has been drawn in the Czestochowa SGP Semi-Final.

  8. The fact that it would be madness for Redcar to run a home meeting against a World Cup match is missing the issue, its the lateness of the postponement and the inconvenience caused to a few Rye House fans who have booked holidays, hotels etc that is the issue surely.
  9. Top PL No1`s aren't exactly thick on the ground. Had Ipswich had moved quicker of course they might have had Danny King in their team, though they would've had to make more than one change.
  10. Promoters by in large don't give a monkeys about their supporters, just as long as you hand over your money and they are happy. The World Cup draw was weeks ago, fixtures and venues were sorted out soon after. Feeling your pain.
  11. Watt seems to be riding better this season than over the last few, admittedly I`ve only seen him on tv in the European Pairs mainly but he looks like he is doing the business in those meetings.
  12. As I have posted before I will be coming to this meeting, what's the car parking like at Monmore Green.
  13. I am hopeful that Berwick will be included when the next round of Sky fixtures are announced, lets all hope together.
  14. 1 Go back to concrete starts, stops all that gardening. 2 Have a line, a few yards short of the tapes, when all the riders are ready, bring them forward to the tapes, and off you go, no gardening. 3 Once you put the two minutes on, the race will start within that two minutes, have a clock at the start line as they do in SGP. 4 Have a referees strong enough to start excluding riders for delaying starts, if they ALL did that it would soon stop.
  15. Decent meeting, infront of a very impressive Monday night crowd. Passing was at a premium on an ultra slick track, Sundstrum was a worthy winner, good to see Bellego going through to the next round though this will mean he misses our meeting with Redcar. As you posted yesterday, form is temporary class is permanent.
  16. Last weather update, still bright and dry all day if a bit cloudy. Looking forward to this meeting and seeing top riders attacking the Berwick track. Should be a cracker, after the nonsense of Saturday its just great to know we are going to get a meeting.
  17. True, but with Bellego being only a few hundred yards from Shielfield, and the Berwick meeting being off at Glasgow did help somewhat.
  18. BERWICK'S David Bellego has been called into the line-up for tonight's Grand Prix qualifier at Shielfield Park. The Bandits rider takes the place of Mathieu Tresarrieu who is ruled out due to injury. Reserve berths are taken by Kyle Howarth and Liam Carr. Weather conditions have been very good during the day, with no rain. The meeting gets underway at 7.30pm. Taken from BSPA site. This meeting just keeps getting stronger.
  19. More clouds around since last update, but still dry. Looks far more than this time on Saturday.
  20. Its a guest and R/R fest at Glasgow tonight. Meeting off. Reluctantly, given the fixture backlog we already have, tonight’s outstanding League Cup tie Vs Berwick has been called off due to the rain-fall already delivered and forecast between now and start time. No restaging date has yet been agreed. Next meeting at Ashfield will be this coming Sunday (15th June) in the deciding leg of our Knock Out Cup, 1st Round tie, against Rye House. Taken from Glasgow site on Twitter.
  21. I like to give an all round weather forecast. Weather update, remains as before, we have had warm sunshine all morning.
  22. Good grief man, you will have the sensitive crew after you.
  23. Looks like there could be a couple of changes to the line up. GREAT Britain duo Richard Lawson and Lewis Bridger have both been called up to the full line-up for tonight’s re-arranged Grand Prix Qualifier at Berwick. The Lakeside pair, previously named as meeting reserves, take the places of Daniel Gappmaier and Tobias Kroner who have withdrawn due to illness. It means there will be four British riders in action at Shielfield Park, as Lawson and Bridger join Chris Harris and Craig Cook in the field. Kyle Howarth, who competed for Great Britain in the World Under-21 Team Cup on Saturday, will now take over as meeting reserve, with the action getting underway at 7.30pm. Above taken from BSPA site.
