  1. I have seen the damage done to Comptons crash helmet, it certainly did its job and saved Andre from what could've been a nasty injury.
  2. He certainly was, Tatum, Nilsson, and Knight were a very potent top three.
  3. Latvia have been a real let gown tonight, I thought they could really get amongst the big points.
  4. Now that he made his racing comeback, would Glasgow not be keen to take a look at Josef Tabaka.
  5. Take your meaning Doolan, apart from Edinburgh last Friday where virtually the whole team was hopeless, his scoring has been better in the last few weeks, maybe the new parts are doing the trick, apart from one poster who thinks Doolan "is really going well" IMO he has been inconsistent and not what was expected as our No1. In saying that I`d leave this team alone now for the rest of the season.
  6. Have a look at Berwick, normally we`ve had our end of season do by now, this year our season might just last long enough to get a few meetings in September.
  7. If Berwick are looking to bring in a new rider for next season, could I put forward the name of Czech rider Edward Krcmar, watching him in tonight SWC Event 2 in Sweden and he looks a very tidy rider.
  8. Newcastle have had their fare share of trophies in the last few years, its actually quite nice for them to give some other teams a chance.
  9. Those Monarchs do seem to have a habit of taking titles off Somerset don't they.
  10. Obviously I`m hoping that Berwick can put up a bit of a challenge, though if I am picking a winner I like the look of Workington.
  11. Enjoy your trip, hope Berwick can bring a point or two back from their trips to Ipswich and then Scunthorpe, its going to be tough though.
  12. Andre Compton has posted a couple of things on Twitter this afternoon, although very saw all over, he is ok and after plenty of rest will be back in action next Thursday, he is also thankful to the first aid team at Owlerton and to the staff at the hospital. He is one lucky lad.
  13. Forum etiquette should also tell you that you attack the post and not the poster, it appears your posts get sillier by the day.

  15. Delighted to hear that Andre Compton has been released from hospital with no lasting injuries that a bit of rest wont cure, could've been a load lot worse.
  16. ANDRE Compton, the hugely popular Sheffield racer, has been talking to doctors in hospital after his horrifying high speed crash in Monday’s home defeat by Somerset at Owlerton. Compton, who made a comeback from retirement last year, was in flying form for the Tigers in front of the Sky Sports cameras in a hugely entertaining meeting. But disaster struck on the final bend of Heat 14 when he was leading the race, only for his chain to come off which sent him flying from his machine and he was then struck by the rider behind him. Compton was taken from the track in a neck brace after a long delay – but early suggestions provide hope there may be nothing too serious with his injuries. Sheffield promoter Damien Bates said: “Whilst we are not totally sure on Andre’s exact condition, he was talking OK in the hospital, but the last update I received is that he was waiting to see a doctor for a full and proper check up – we hope early indications prove correct that there is nothing too serious.” Sheffield go to Somerset for the return tonight with three guests and rider replacement. Taken from the Sheffield Tigers Speedway site.
  17. Firstly and most importantly I hope Andre Compton is ok after his fall last night, and that Olly Allen is back asap after his fall to. Sheffield don't have their problems to seek, carrying so many injured riders was their un-doing last night, even for incredible efforts of Taylor Poole. But IMO this was another excellent advert for PL speedway and it showed again what an excellent track Owlerton is.
  18. Thoroughly looking forward to my trip to EoES next week, if we get the same weather as last but half the length of meeting I will be happy.
  19. Laura Morgan comes over has a decent person and I am sure she, along with the rest of the promotion at Workington will be gutted with todays events, sadly there is bound to be one or two fans who wont be there in future, something I`d imagine Workington Speedway can ill afford.
  20. Henry pulling out after one ride certainly didn't help matters, especially as he couldn't be replaced in subsequent rides, though in that position you need your No1 to step up, sadly for Glasgow he didn't.
