  1. Absolutely, maybe more riders should do the same, though looking at some of their efforts on Twitter its quite apparent most wouldn't be able to put forward any kind of coherent argument without taking to obscenities. Unlike David Howe who put forward an excellent response.
  2. Perhaps you could go to the Czech Republic with Mr Howe, and having taken you he could leave you.
  3. If the guest facility is being granted simply so a rider can make a signing on time then that makes it worse, the rules say no guest should be granted for a rider attending practice, I would've thought the same should apply to cover a rider signing in.
  4. Guest facilities for the most obscure of reasons are killing this sport, if promoters want to know why so many are turning their backs should look no further than here, and other matches going on tonight. It is clear that Scunthorpe should not be getting a guest for Howe, not unless Howe is withholding his services and will be banned, then a guest would be quite proper. Let us hope tomorrow nights referee has the decency to up hold the rules the govern this sport.
  5. Fair point, to balance things out Berwick were allowed to use a guest at Sheffield in the recent KOC tie for Matej Kus, who had been signed off as ill, though he wasn't so ill he that he couldn't race in a Czech League meeting the previous evening. IMO Berwick should not have received a facility that evening.
  6. So from that its fair to say had Lawson really wanted to ride for Redcar tonight, he could've asked to be released to, on second thoughts, giving the wild and wacky allegations he came out with the last time these two sides met its probably a good idea he is at Swindon tonight.
  7. And your comparing Edinburgh with Redcar. Ah so that's all right.
  8. So why is Adam Ellis riding for Ipswich tonight and not Lakeside, also Kim Nillsson is riding in Sweden rather than at Swindon.
  9. I doubt even Berwick could come up with enough excuses should they go on and loose this meeting tonight, though I don't understand how Redcar are getting away with using a guest, even if that guest is Theo Pjyper, when quite clearly the Swindon V Lakeside meeting is an a re-arranged fixture.
  10. Then surely he should get his own kit across to Glasgow, or is he another one of these riders who keeps their best equipment for the European leagues, IMO he owes Glasgow at least to make some kind of effort.
  11. Really, then how is Redcar allowed a guest for Richard Lawson, he is riding for Lakeside.
  12. That being the case, why is Redcar allowed a guest.
  13. Lawson`s EL club, Lakeside are due to ride at Swindon tomorrow night, so that fixture takes priority.
  14. I thought you would've got tired of making a fool of yourself on here, but looking at this post it appears not.
  15. I would look at last weeks Speedway Star and the interview with the recently retired Chris Schramm about his views on where speedway is going.
  16. How we all wish you went through with your promise not to post during August.
  17. Tatum was excellent in his year with Berwick, and should be given an appropriate reception for doing so. Anything else would be pathetic, I hope the club will be making that clear through their newsletters.
  18. Mostly agree with this, though a couple of 4`s wins, plus a KOC win in the 90`s were always welcome, but in terms of PL success its certainly been a bit of a barren land. I`ve no doubt someone will be along presently about how a team that wins the league normally loses the most money.
  19. Amazing to read certain posters now realising that resting Carr was going to happen at some stage. Whether Edberg is the answer, I`m not so sure, it will strengthen us in the second reserve position, whether we will now point up more points because of that only time will tell. Edberg has made a career from crashing, and at the end of his last Berwick stint seemed to blame everything rather than himself, always had top notch equipment, so if he has his head sorted out he might just add the few points we need. Every hole`s a goal. Its a contest that some excel in. I`m sure that was never in the thinking at all.
  20. Absolutely, all the teams know the rules before the off, but I still cant get my head around how it is right that a team that finishes sixth can be crowned Champions, of course it happens in other sports and seems to be the modern way.
  21. Seems like Glasgow are going for the no No1 and five reserves this season, giving the loyalty and number to which their supporters attend every meeting, they should be seeing better, though in Berge and Thomsen they have the starters of a half decent team.
  22. You should try Shielfield every Saturday, our presentation needs are more than covered.
  23. After all out rain offs this season, Tatum is having a laugh if he thinks there is any spare money up here. Maybe we could pay any money owed in pies.
  24. Agree with this, the best team is surely the team with the most points when all the PL fixtures have been raced, surely they are the true Champions.
  25. Redcar's chances of reaching the Play-Offs were over long before they ever signed Smith.
