  1. I actually find it quite sad you`ve trawled through all the rubbish we post on here, not feeling insecure are you. Anyway well done. I am at work now, just started thirteen shifts in fourteen days.
  2. Don't think your question, is out of curiosity, more loaded, especially because you know as well as I do Bellego and especially Kus have been so good, my post was more speedway in general rather than Berwick in particular. If, Kus for example hadn't quite had been so good, maybe the Czech Authorities wouldn't have called him back for this meeting tonight. As for Bellego, he is riding in the second of a World Final tomorrow, so I can just get my head around that though in the case of both these riders, it does Berwick no good tonight to have two of their best riders in Poland and Czech Republic respectively. Amazing, wasn't it you that was against signing Kus, and have been proved oh so wrong, I`m sure you have been delighted to be so wrong to.
  3. Greg Hancock Nicki Pedersen Matej Zagar Andzejs Lebedevs Lebedevs to beat Woffinden
  4. Certainly as far as this season is concerned yes, though if we had started the season with PL fixtures we might've been that bit further down the PL fixture list.
  5. I am sure there will be Berwick supporters giving tonight's meeting a miss due to missing riders, as Paulco says its getting out of hand in the PL, so maybe its time the rule makers got tougher with how and why teams get guest and R/R facilities so easily. Ok, it might mean teams not signing certain riders but if that means the same seven riders turn up week in week out is that necessarily a bad thing.
  6. Play-offs seem to be the thing nowadays, though I`m not in favour of them for the PL, for the reasons you give, plus I cant get my head round a team finishing sixth can become Champions. Yes they are the rules everyone plays under but for me the Champions are the one with the most points at the end of the season, maybe we should go straight into PL racing at the start of the season and have the lesser competitions at the end.
  7. We learned, only late last night with further details coming through during this morning, that whilst practicing on the Miramont circuit in France for Sunday’s World Longtrack Championship round, unfortunately Dimitri suffered a crash which resulted in him being taken to hospital where he underwent an operation on an arm/wrist break and is now in plaster. His mother Maguy reports that the operation went well however that Dimitri is again feeling very low given this is his second big crash of the year, and once again he looks set to sit out much of the season. At this point we do not know exact details as to the severity of the break or any associated recovery period. We are sure you will join us in sending young Dimitri and his family our thoughts and very best wishes for a speedy recovery. Taken from the Glasgow site, poor kid hasn't had a lot of luck this season, hopefully he will be back before the season finishes.
  8. Saturday`s forecast is reasonably good, after a bright start it will become cloudy. There is just the chance of a little drizzle during the afternoon but by the time of the meeting it should be dry if a bit cool. Gone are the long hot days of the summer it seems.
  9. Any Workington fans, or Berwick fans for that matter, who still have the admission ticket from the original meeting will get in on the night free, there will also be a free programme.
  10. What's the attendance figure for any of our meetings. Maybe that could be something that could be put in the programme each week.
  11. Teams evolve from season to season, part of the knack of getting success on a regular bases is knowing when to let riders go, who wont take the team forward the following season. Keeping the bases of this years team is a good start though I think it would be unwise to go for the same 1-7.
  12. The meeting was well promoted, and the club rewarded with a decent crowd for their work, it will be interesting to see if the crowd level is the same for tomorrows meeting with Somerset.
  13. Please can you just right names, its not that difficult surely.
  14. Of the current team there is only two Berwick assets, now IMO assets in speedway is largely pointless, but our non-Berwick assets will go back to the parent clubs at the end of the season, of course that doesn't mean they wont return.
  15. Reading some of his tweets, its clear he couldn't give a monkeys about his scores for Lakeside, in fact he finds it rather amusing people have the gaul to criticize his performances. Maybe he will find just as amusing should Lakeside give him the boot at the end of the season.
  16. Vissing 7-53 Doolan 6-87 Wethers 6-30 Bellego 6-17 Jensen 5-57 Kus 5-49 Edberg 4-39 Total 42-32. So providing they stick to the same points limit for next season, yes it possible to retain the same one to seven.
  17. Matej Kus is very happy and very proud to be riding at Berwick, the way things are going Kus will move into the main body of the team, with Steen Jensen going to reserve. IMO Jensen will do just as well at reserve, whatever happens we are in a strong position reserve wise when it comes to the play-offs, should we get there.
  18. Hang on, one of our merry troupe was telling me only the other night he could've get enough of them as it took him back to when he was a younger man when he would march behind them.
  19. Of course you could've picked out post three, that also mentioned Berge as possible guest, I was unaware that Berge wouldn't be able to make, as I suspect a few of us on here would've been. Sad really has he is very exciting to watch round Shielfield.
  20. Couldn't you have posted the posts where a Berwick fan, yes a Berwick fan, questioned the signing of Matej Kus.
  21. Delighted I can help make your day run a little smoother.
  22. Speculate to accumulate, if by paying for a few extra posters and putting them in the right places, you get an extra few through the gate you will have covered the price of any printing. Being called dim is no problem, I`ve be called far worse.
