Berwick V Rye House (pl) - Now 23/8

A slightly wonky way of looking at things, I mean its hardly likely that if this was a one off date with Rye House Shielfield Park would be chocka block with fans of the Rockets. Berwick are trying to get their fixtures in by the cut off date, I`m sure that a double header was last of the alternatives, given the losses they are likely to suffer. -

Fair enough, but even around the passing nirvana that is Armadale I`m taking this Berwick team to get at least a point. -

We don't like people posting rumours on a Berwick thread, you should know that by now, though now you`ve mentioned it I`m hearing Pedersen, Gollob, Ward (if he isn't banned), Holder, Woffinden, NKI and Kasprzak are all in the team. Averages are a bit tight though. -

I thought the was a newsletter sent out last Monday. -
I have every sympathy for Ward, if the news about his parents splitting up are true, being so far away from home when something like this happens must be upsetting. But to the best of my knowledge nobody has found the answers to any problems at the bottom of a beer bottle, so if Ward took to drink to find his solace then he was looking in the wrong place and if the FIM do the right thing he will pay a heavy price for his actions. If we are all guessing what kind of punishment we should see, IMO Ward should be banned for the rest of this GP series and from his various league teams, and have no wild card for next season, but he should be free to do the qualifiers for the 2016 series and come back to league racing from the start of next season.

From a Berwick point of view I think we can write this one off, our riders should've done enough laps round Armadale by now to have the place worked out, but no matter how hard they try they just cant master the place, so as long as they keep things respectable then that's good enough for me. -

Garrity could be playing a dangerous game he may not get another go as a draft rider next season. If he doesn't its difficult to see any EL club signing him especially if he has to go into the main team, leaving PL as his only option, and he hasn't exactly pulled up any trees there has he. -
Mr Middleditch is making himself look very silly IMO.

The FIM must`ve had their report by now, presumably any ban will be announced in the next week or so before the GP in Gorzow. If the ban is on the lenient side I think this forum will explode off the face of the earth.

Looks like it has. I always like an out and out No1, but then you must have both reserves scoring, in the past Berwick have tried that and come up short. This season, whether through luck or judgement, or a bit of both the promotion have found the key to success, hopefully they will keep to this method in the future. -

I think Berwick will continue their winning ways against Newcastle this Saturday, though it would be silly to underestimate them. Many wrote Newcastle off last season when they visited as part of the Sky meeting, they then promptly won, and with some ease. -

I take it Mr Silver doesn't do a lot of research when looking for a guest, Campton guested a week or two ago for Sheffield, his score wasn't exactly great. 4. Mason Campton (guest) 0,0,R,2,N = 2 -

The newsletter is a great idea, and one the club should be applauded for, but there will only be a certain percentage of the fans that get it, how many of the people that go to Shielfield every Saturday night have access to the internet. Announcements like riders missing meetings etc should be made on a Saturday night when you have your supporters there, it seems there is a need to know bases at times which reflects poorly on the club at times. -
You cant mean that surely.

If your pointing your post at me, at least have the bottle to do so directly, I've given my reply in post 119, and the reasons I asked the question, its what the forum is for. I think Tourettes has put it perfectly. Take away "forum" and I`m still proud to be a f....... -

Berwick have not yet hit 60pts this season at home, their best effort was 59 against Sheffield a couple of weeks ago, though they have conceded sixty a time or two away from home. -

You will have to take your insecurities somewhere else I`m afraid. I was asking a question, the same question that another poster had asked on another thread, as it concerned Berwick I thought we might get the answer on a Berwick thread, which we have, so everything's good again. This one. People are sick of it . You cant expect neutrals to be enticed by half a team turning up , i read on another thread that Berwick could be without Vissing and Kus at Overtaking Nirvana next Friday night . We have the same nonsense against Somerset on Sunday with Pijper and Berge missing . Okay Berge has now since broke his wrist , but he would have been at some long track nonsense instead of riding for his team . There's too much of this crap now filtered it's way into the PL schedule , between that and doubling uppers not knowing exactly who they're supposed to be riding for - is it any wonder crowds are dwindling at an alarming rate . -
Obviously it better to ride with a team of seven, but with the form that Jensen and in particular Kus is in just now, we can carry using R/R for a week or two and let Wethers come back when the time is right.
