  1. Do we really want to set up a track just for one rider, don`t Berwick realise that when we have slick conditions and turn a meeting a gating competition Berwick normally are on the wrong end of a hammering. I for one don't want to turn up every Saturday night to watch very little if any proper racing just because our No1 would spit his dummy if he doesn't get his own way.
  2. Seems only to be a rumour at this stage and personally I hope it stays as that, just a rumour. Very poor signing if it turns out to be true, I think we have all seen Schlein`s attitude towards a track that is not to his liking so if he does want to make a track return I hope its with another team and the very best of luck to him and them.
  3. 2023 ALL SYSTEMS GO! Ladies and Gentlemen we have a rather generous amount of 2023 news to share with you all this evening! Joining Leon Flint Racing as confirmed FTS Bandits so far for 2023 will be the following riders Thomas Jorgensen Jonas Knudsen Jye Etheridge Nathan Stoneman We are delighted to welcome back all 5 Shielfield Park heroes for the upcoming season. Thomas Jørgensen Racing was amongst the most spectacular and popular home riders in recent memory in his previous stints as a Bandit and we can’t wait to see TJ back in action Local hero Leon Flint will proudly skipper the side & Jonas Knudsen will look to continue his rocket like trajectory alongside our super popular local based Aussie Jye Etheridge and the ‘never give up’ heroics of Nathan Stoneman. After scooping all of the awards on Friday night we learned that Chris 'Bomber' Harris is unable to commit to Championship Saturday nights in 2023 due to a very busy international racing schedule and we wish Chris, his family and his team all the very best. We were fully aware that the Bomber could only commit initially to 2022 and we are grateful for a thrilling season from one of the greatest ever! Stay tuned this week for some big sponsorship announcements via all Berwick Speedway
  4. First signing confirmed and sponsors returning https://www.berwickspeedway.com/news/leon-to-lead-the-bandits/
  5. This, and the events towards the end of the season, just show how bad things are.
  6. Bit of a recurring theme this, another shambles. What was the point of having the qualifiers if we don`t get a final.
  7. It comes to something when those who make the rules dont even know their own rules.

  9. What a shambles, but typical of the way speedway is run and fans treated.
  10. Devils = 361. Lee Complin - 2, 3, 2, 2, 3 = 122. Josh Embleton - 1', 0, 2, 1' = 4+23. Danny Phillips - FX, 1, 3, 2 = 64. Elliot Kelly - 2, 0, 0, 1' = 3+15. Tom Woolley - 3, 1, 2, 1', 0 = 7+16. Gregor Millar - R, 0, 0, 2 = 27. Owen Booth (G) - 1, 1, 0, 0 = 2Leicester Lion Cubs = 531. Dan Thompson - 3, 3, 3, R = 92. Max Perry R/R - (TS - FX, VF - 2', CC - 3, MS - 1 = 6+1)3. Connor Coles - FX, 3, 3, 3, 3, 2 = 144. Tom Spencer - FX, 3, 2', F, FX, EX = 5+15. Joe Thompson - 2, 2, 2, 3 = 96. Vinnie Foord - 3, 2', 1', 1', 1, 1' = 9+47. Mickie Simpson - 2', 0, 1, 1, 3 = 7+1
  11. I`d say there was more of a chance of Masters being at Edinburgh next season than Pickering. Complin bound for Birmingham as far as I know.
  12. Hearing that James wright has had his bikes stolen over the weekend, because of that he has had to with draw from the meeting at Redcar later this week.
  13. Ace Pijper is no where near Championship level and it would be a mistake to rush him into the 2023 team. One more year at NDL racing will do him much more good.
  14. Good for the Bullets to get a win on the night but no where near enough lead to take to Mildenhall for the second leg
  15. Fairly predictable, all we need now is the SGP calendar.
  16. Never sure just what that means, normally its said just after one club or another has rode rough shod over a rule or two. Belle Vue should not have been allowed to sign Lambert, that is against the rules irrespective of interests.
  17. Its great news for Belle Vue that they have signed Lambert, but allowing it is just plain wrong. The BSPL have a set of rules, they need to stick to them.
  18. Seems to be talk of a German rider getting one of the wild card picks.
  19. So after what seems an eternal wait, we have a meeting next Saturday as the Bullets take on Mildenhall in the first leg of the play off semi final. Second leg takes place the following weekend on October 16th.
  20. Last time I went passed they were setting up on the bit of ground just outside the pit gates where they normally have rider vans etc.
  21. It's Jamie Courtney who has involvement with Oxford
  22. Not sure why anyone would go to the expense of making kevlars for a rider that Belle Vue were never going to be allowed to use. Quire rightly the BSPL stopped this move
