  1. I come from a long line of cowards and able to run quicker than most.
  2. Berwick have three riders missing from both meetings, Workington tonight and Glasgow tomorrow. Steen Jensen is missing due to personal issues, Matt Wethers misses out due to injury, while Bellego misses out due as he has a prior agreement with Berwick, in other words cant be bothered to turn up.

  4. Nonsense, if things go a bit wonky for them, Somerset will have just as many chances tonight to use a tactical ride as Edinburgh had last night.
  5. Edinburgh and Somerset are the best two teams in the PL and deserve their places on the Final, as they finished top of the league I hope Edinburgh come out as winners.
  6. Darcy Ward #4⃣3⃣ ‏@D_Dublu_racing 2h2 hours ago No op needed for my knee. So happy. Look forward to going home and working on my leg and body for 2015. #makeorbreak
  7. That's a cracking team alright, but could anyone see this promotion putting this kind of team together.... I mean can you.
  8. Maybe it was called off just so the Glasgow fans can see David Bellego in the colours of Berwick again and think what might've been.
  9. Of course it is. The official line from the club is the rider has "personnel issues", so expect a visit from the Berwick forum police pointing this out.
  10. With hopefully the dates for SWC being announced around the same time to.
  11. Berwick will at least have a stronger team out for next Sunday, with Bellego being available, hopefully the extra time will give Wethers a chance of making it. Maybe even young Jensen will have sorted out his issues and Berwick will track a full strength team.
  12. Meeting off, re-arranged for next Sunday, the same day as the Tea Dance.
  13. Bellego, who seems would rather be racing in a pee diddly grass track meeting, while Steen Jensen has personnel issues.
  14. Another couple of nails nicely knocked into the coffin of EL speedway.
  15. I am looking at going to Prague, lovely city, great weekend.
  16. Summers has made it pretty clear he is looking to get into one of the leagues abroad, having already dipped his toe into Swedish waters there`s a chance of a contract there, which might mean Thursday meetings. That would of course rule him out of Redcar's plans.
  17. Looking at other social media sites there are quite a few who agree with you.
  18. I`ll give you Complin, but not the rest, a little research would tell you that.
  19. Sunday any better for you. In a season so-spoiled by postponed meetings (Workington brought our tally for the year to 18!) it was hardly surprising to learn our plans to stage an End-of-Term Dance have been wrecked by rearranged fixtures, too! The Dance -- planned to be at the Black-and Gold on Friday, October 24th has been cancelled, as the promotion did not want our riders, mechanics and officials -- who have worked so hard to entertain us all season -- to have forego having a let-your-hair-down evening on the night before we are now required to race at Workington. Instead, we will stage an End-of-Term Party -- some real "Afternoon Delight" -- at Berwick Rugby Club, on the day after our final away meeting, on SUNDAY afternoon, October 26th. This will take place from 2pm until 7 o'clock. This special event will have Andersons' pies and a sweet course for our 'afternoon tea' and of course the bar will be open. All the regular end-of-term trophies will be presented, the riders and management will make their speeches and there will be the usual raffle. Tickets now only £4 - £3 if your a Supporters Club member. All brilliantly-organised by lovely Lani Rae -- and questions over tickets, etc, should go to Lani on 07779-227535 or Lisa Youngman on 07773-759864. Taken from the latest newsletter.
  20. Ok then, maybe you can post a list of riders who have retired come back, and performed better. Fact or facetious, up to you.
  21. Temporary tracks are miles better than where we were when they first appeared, obviously there are more of them. BSI should be congratulated for taking speedway into these indoor arenas and guaranteeing meetings for the fans, but clearly there should always be a place for "proper" tracks.
  22. Alden has indeed had some spectacular meetings round Berwick, and some duff ones to. Beware of the rider returning from retirement, they seldom recapture former glories.
