I agree, I think we will see Bridger racing before the season is out, but it seems he has no equipment so what club out there would be daft or desperate enough to go out and buy kit for him.
-
It seems madness to me that any club would want to loan a rider money.
-
Yes it could've been longer but 10 months it is, the most important thing now is for Ward to learn, he has all the talent in the World but has been let down by the six inches between his ears. Also it might be an idea for him to surround himself with a few people that will give him better advice.
-
Is that this or next season.
-
Agree, that rumour is barking up the wrong tree.
-
Don't know about babies but if Ward doesn't receive some kind of ban one or two on here will have kittens.
-
Didn't Berwick run in two leagues for a season, starting meetings earlier with the Conference meeting on first.
-
I had a copy of that on tape, definitely worth trying to get a copy. There`s some old footage of Berwick Speedway on Youtube you might like to look at.
-
It was in last weeks Speedway star, in the article it said that Bridger had been on a months holiday to Ibiza, then spend nearly four weeks in America.
-
You think this is bad, depending on the verdict and/or any ban, this forum could self combust with warnings being handed out a plenty.
-
Makes the promotion look very childish IMO, the Supporters Club have bent over backwards to help the club, why bite the hand that feeds.
-
We were told the other day there was two sides to this story, until we here both you cant say that.
-
Quite true in fact if it hadn't been for the Supporters Clubs through the years helping any of our promotions at Berwick, current or previous, or the small sponsorship scheme Berwick Speedway might not be here today.
-
As it all goes to help Berwick Speedway you`d think they would, I mean why wouldn't they.
-
Just in case the club don't include it in their next news letter, this is taken from Facebook on the Supporters Club AGM last night. Berwick Bandits Supporters Club membership has been halved to only £5 for adults and £2.50 for Children. Membership forms will be sent to all previous members ...with a copy of our newsletter or these can be picked up from Lisa Youngman at Youngmans Carpets in Berwick, Once the website is up and running you will be able to download the forms from there. A new era has began, the Berwick Bandits Supporters Club held their AGM last night in the Black and Gold, a new committee have taken the reigns, in the Chair we have Angela Wilson, Vice Chair is Alan Neil, Treasurer is Lisa Youngman and Secretary Shelley Wilson. We have a lot of great ideas in the pipeline and we will keep everyone up to speed through social media, local press, regular newsletters and a new website to be launched in the next couple of weeks, watch this space......

2600 posts of high quality, well reasoned argument.

The 2012 Group do a great job, in a small way yes but a great job nonetheless, I`m sure the riders welcome any help they get from them, sadly the promotion don't seem to see it that way which is sad as you would've thought any help either directly or in-directly to help the riders win meetings for Berwick would be a good thing.
-
And what reason did they give for such thinking.
-
I subscribe to the Speedway Star, and done so for a few seasons now, but the Ward story on the first couple of pages in this weeks edition is lifted straight out of the Ward, Middleditch, Poole Speedway PR machine. Poor journalism.
-
We were told recently there were two sides to every story, maybe the supporters will get to know all the facts.
-
Agreed, though as has already been pointed the supporters club would have to be independent of the club, as it was, for that to happen.
-
Take an oath to who though, clearly this is something I have yet to do.

If You Could Bring Back One Rider...

Jones was the No1 rider at Berwick when I first started going to speedway in the 70`s so we will go with him. -

In the years I`ve been watching Berwick I will pick one from the each decade, Graham Jones, Steve McDermott, and Mark Courtney. -
Hopefully there will be a big turn with lots of new members, though you would've thought the club might've put this in their last news letter.
