  1. These riders who have either pulled out, or turned down their invitation should be disgusted with themselves.
  2. Listened to Alun Rossiter this afternoon on BBC Radio Wiltshire, he was saying he found it unbelievable that riders couldn't or hadn't got kit ready for tomorrows meeting, I think a rider should think it an honour to be asked to take part in this meeting.
  3. Looking forward to going to Prague for the SGP, then to Kings Lynn a couple of weeks later for SWC, also I`m looking forward to a season of no guests and virtually no R/R`s, no serious injuries, good weather and most of all peace and harmony on BSF.
  4. If you fancy the tiniest of detours.
  5. Its exactly 500 miles from Berwick.
  6. I`m sure your right, the club would never put out a newsletter with such inaccuracies, it would make them look a bit silly. I mean Danny King has now signed on again at Newcastle, I mean who knew that.
  7. I think we all know the answer to that one, and its not yes.
  8. I was at the Berwick Rangers game yesterday, the grass looked fine to me, we must now conduct a thorough investigation into the sugar consumption between the riders, our play-off hopes could depend on it.
  9. Yes that's true, but at least they live on the same continent.
  10. Allegedly, latest comment is "There`s a poster on BSF who wants a team signed so I signed a team, then they wanted a team sponsor so I got one, all the fixtures are out, press & practice is announced, so all the t`s are crossed and i`s dotted". What do you want announced now.
  11. Writing !, till the end of June we might see him as editor, also giving the quality of some of his Tweets the less writing Ward does the better.
  12. Berwick had a decent team that season, though you cant help thinking a few riders were beaten before the first race started as they must've been wondering where on earth they were going along the narrow roads to Berrington Lough.
  13. While there`s no doubt the BSPA could've done more surely the biggest hike in costs in the last few seasons has been on equipment, titanium parts, silencers etc, that has lead to riders looking for better contracts from the clubs. Non payment of bonus points was a wrong move as it meant team mate racing against team mate as well as the opposition riders, though surely some clubs must pay bonus points still. Simplifying equipment might be the way forward, Honda did look at that a few seasons ago, but nothing came of it, IMO we need a motorcycle company to mass produce an engine that could be used right across the sport, maybe even to the extent of clubs buying the bikes to supply their riders, sadly that is never likely to see the light of day.
  14. Difficult to deliver on potential if you have no bikes, as it appears, until that is sorted out there`s every chance that Bridger will stay retired.
  15. Don't think it was just Tatum that had money issues with Lindon.
  16. So Sayfutdinov should've got wildcards here, there and everywhere last SGP season, the answer to your question is yes, but its not quite that simple.
  17. As far as Wethers goes, the 2010 season was the last time he averaged over seven, since then he has not achieved that figure so if the current rules were enforced he wouldn't have gained a visa for season 2012,13,14, not unless he went back to Australia and qualified through their state Championships.
  18. If its booing riders, I can think of one rider from Denmark who will be hoping Ward gets the wildcard pick for Cardiff.
  19. Didn't Belle Vue refuse to race because they had had their end of season do the night before the meeting at Berrington, all the heats took place though mysteriously some of the Berwick who were eyeing contracts for the following season manage to break down in some of those heats. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZdTOjbSDlo
  20. So your saying Ward should be rewarded for going drinking before a SGP, then serving a 10 month ban.
  21. Some decent points, though as you say bring in a dedicated sales person to sell the club to potential sponsors wont come cheap, especially if they come in with no prior interest in speedway as it would be a job of work to them. Maybe someone like that could be incentivised by a getting a percentage of any sponsorship brought to the club, more sponsors, bigger sponsors equals bigger pay out.
  22. That's the puzzle only Ward can figure out, his scrapes with the law, be it on track or off, haven't taught him anything so far it would appear, so all we can do is hope.
  23. I subscribe to Speedway Star and will continue to do so but IMO the magazine jumped on the Ward bandwagon and gave him a vehicle for him and his supporters the pedal their ill informed statements virtually from the start.
  24. The PL may not be perfect but giving the state the EL has been in over the last few seasons would you really want to.
