  1. Nasty crash for Lewis Rose, don't like the way he hit one of the posts with his shoulder.
  2. According to the averages issued on the BSPA site Masters is the Edinburgh No1 and Branford the higher averaged reserve.
  3. And the Monarchs aren't struggling for guests either, for example they could have Rohan Tungate, Richard Lawson etc.
  4. Dave Peet is a decent manager and an even more decent guy, it wouldn't be the worst thing if Berwick had a full time regular team manager, it would let the promotion, who have been standing in the role free to promote.
  5. Masters will be out for around a month after having surgery on a hand injury today, Branford also out, so our visitors will be looking for a couple of guests. Thankfully Craig Cook who was also in the wars over the weekend should be able to ride.
  6. Due to the averages Doolan found himself in the No1 race jacket at the start of last season, no disrespect to Kevin but a PL No1 he isn't, once he found his rightful position in the team his scores improved. Now mounted on better equipment he is proving to be an excellent second or third heat leader and his scores have been not only good but consistently good this seaason, and surely even the vocal minority, or the silent majority can agree with that. Hang on, looks like this silent majority tag is something another poster used the other day, cant be the same person. Maybe we are part of the key board wielding critics, sarcastic know it alls, jealous rivals, suspicious husbands group.
  7. Seems Edinburgh have hit one or two injury problems, already without Robert Branford, they now have had Craig Cook and Sam Masters taking heavy falls. Thankfully Cook has had a hospital check up, after taking a bang to his head, and been giving the all clear. Masters went to hospital but left before being seen, he will be checked over by a local hospital for thumb or hand injuries, whether he makes Berwick remains to be seen.
  8. There will be plenty of takers, who ever who holds his contract.
  9. Jorgensen certainly has been Berwick`s top man this season, should Berwick still be a PL team next season he must be in line for a second year with Berwick.
  10. Haven't been down for a couple of years so everything must've been tidied up during that time.
  11. Berwick Barker back injuries, out for season Vissing knee ligaments, still out Stichaur broken ankle, still out Voldrih broken leg, out for season
  12. Berwick being Berwick they are quite capable of chucking 6pts away in the second leg.
  13. Maybe if ground sharing ever comes common place in speedway, maybe Berwick could share with our friends from Rye.
  14. Rye House Rockets = 42 1. Edward Kennett - 2,2,3,2*,1 = 10+1 2. Kasper Lykke Nielsen R/R - ( LB-1*, DM-0, AM-3, RA-0 = 4+1) 3. Anders Mellgren - 0,2,3,3,2 = 10 4. Robin Aspegren - 1,1*,1,0,1* = 4+2 5. Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen - 2,0,3,3,3 = 11 6. Danny Maassen - 2,0,1,0 = 3 7. Luke Bowen - 1*,0,1,0,2 = 4+1 Berwick Bandits = 48 1. Ben Barker R/R - ( TJ-3, RT-T/EX(RH-3), KD-2, FG-0 = 8) 2. Fernando Garcia - 0,F/EX,EX,0 = 0 3. Rohan Tungate (Guest) - 2*,T/EX,2*,1*,3 = 8+3 4. Thomas Jorgensen - 3,3,3,2,3,2 = 16 5. Kevin Doolan - 3,3,2,2,1,0 = 11 6. Alex Edberg - 3,1,R,R,1 = 5 7. Richard Hall - 1,1,3,2,1*,0 = 8+1 Read more: http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/14723/rye-house-berwick-plkoc-5pm#ixzz3fhaJzbcH Dont you just love speedway.
  15. Just reading this weeks Speedway Star about the fund set up by Edinburgh fans to help the club, maybe Berwick, and other clubs, could take a look at that.
  16. If we fail to reach the 30pt mark our season ends somewhere around 7pm this evening.
  17. From what I hear we should hear news on Vissing in the next few days, if he comes back he will certainly need to get back to his scores from pre-injury. If he does Berwick will still continue with R/R as Vissing could go above Barker in the averages when future months averages are published.
  18. Berwick will need to keep any loss down to no more than 10 - 12pts if they are to recover in the second leg, a second where it looks like they will be without Richard Hall who will be racing in the Longtrack GP Challenge, though on current form I see a tonking today.
  19. Agree with you, R/R very seldom works long term as has been proved. I would imagine Berwick have failed to hit their break even figure on more than one occasion this season and as you say with play off hopes over crowd level will dwindle even more than they have at times this season.
  20. As the previous two posters have said lack of race winners was Berwick`s undoing last night, if you provide only four race winners round your own track you don't deserve to win a meeting and Berwick didn't last night. Doolan, Jorgensen etc actually produced scores a second string should but we had no fire power at the top of the team and R/R failed to score the points Vissing would have. On a positive note it was good to see Edberg put in something like the performance he is capable of, but we need that meeting in meeting out. Last nights defeat makes making the play offs very difficult, a defeat next week against the Monarchs will end any lingering hopes of making the top six.
  21. Especially when we are running R/R, a defeat tonight would almost certainly end any hopes of a play-off finish.
  22. Fair enough but if Jorgensen was to blame I would say so, but I think it was a racing incident no more no less. The most important thing is that Lambert seems to have no lasting injuries.
  23. Haven't watched it back on tv yet but from my position there was contract all the way into the first corner, no more than a racing incident IMO. Sad that Lambert had to withdraw as he was a pleasure to watch, and there is no doubt that Peterborough would've won by a more comfortable margin had he completed his last three rides.
  24. Big meeting for Berwick, especially after going down at home last Wednesday. I am sure Hall cant have three poor meetings and a row, so should get back to his good scoring, but his reserve partner needs to prove himself. He has had his critics in recent days, the best to answer them is with big scores on track.
