  1. With the second leg of this fixture set to go ahead this Saturday, the home side will show one change from last weeks home win against Edinburgh. With Nathan Stoneman facing a few weeks out Berwick will bring in Greg Blair for this match and the match up at Glasgow the previous evening.
  2. Latest injury news on Josh Pickering is that he is still very sore this morning and will attend his local hospital later today for a more thorough diagnoses.
  3. Welcome win for the home side in a meeting where any serious challenge from Edinburgh probably ended with the Pickering accident and subsequent injury. Track conditions where difficult with lots of dust but with the forecast it was understandable with the drizzle during the day. The forecast I posted the other day was pretty much spot on. Odd night for Craig Cook, sublime in the first three rides then completely hopeless in the other two.
  4. You would've thought that Peterborough would've had a rider in by now.
  5. At youth levels Kyle Bickley won just about everything there was to win and looked a real prospect. Sadly for him since he took the step up to senior league racing he has went pretty much nowhere either with Workington, Glasgow, Berwick and now Edinburgh. Certainly looks the part, well turned out, good equipment but just lacking the necessaries to make the step up.
  6. Dry overnight but we`ve had a little bit of light rain for the last hour.
  7. Problem is what is lost with Jorgensen`s average will probably be mostly used up when Jonas Knudson`s average changes from his current assessed one.
  8. The Berwick thinking is a cunning plan by the management, lets see if it works.
  9. Still a day or three to go before this match but there`s a possibility of the weather beaten everyone. Berwick-Upon-Tweed - BBC Weather
  10. Unfortunately Leon was an unused team reserve in todays match.
  11. Jonas Knudson has scored 7pts from five rides for Polonia Pila in their 60-30 defeat to Stal Rzeszow in Poland today.
  12. Live coverage of Leon`s debut here http://kergel.ucoz.lv/index/live_stream_2/0-12?fbclid=IwAR2eL0VtZngKO7mWxtVxD6VmjVlUNOdM89lON8Sy-AcWVpETDr4TLLAnh68
  13. Leon Flint makes his debut today for Ostravia in their home match with ROW Rybnik, Flint`s former team.
  14. The £20 admission across the board and all age groups is a scandal, I`ve said for along time that at Championship level £1 per race is more than adequate so the likes of me should be paying £15 with OAP`s etc paying £10. To ask anymore to pay more is just clouded business thinking and those promotions who do charge £20 across the board without concession seemed to be thinking lets screw what little customers we have left for as much as we can, lets face it most Championship crowds season on season are dwindling and moves like this will see one or two clubs at this level struggle, sadly I believe Berwick will be one. It is to be hoped there will be a reconsideration of this, time will tell. Many supporters I spoke to last night before during and after the meeting seemed to be of the same thinking, this season many will pick and choose the meetings and if last night was anything to go by if Berwick start losing at home they wont bother at all so to that end its played one lost one. I personally didn't renew my season ticket for the first time in the last five seasons, it seems many followed suit. The good news for Berwick is that they wont have to face a team as good as Glasgow every week, but a home defeat to Edinburgh and then Redcar will have some voting with their feet and what is sure is that nothing empties a stadium quicker than a few home defeats. As for the meeting, very impressed by Glasgow, after many years of trying and much money being thrown at it, I think this Glasgow has what it takes to become Championship Champions. As for Berwick a lack of heat winners and heat advantages at home just wont do and one look at the scoring charts will tell you where the weak links are, that will need addressing, either the riders need to change or the club will need to change the riders.
  15. Well is out this time and off to the Czech Republic to race in a meeting that starts at 9am. His non-appearance would lead to an FIM ban apparently.
  16. Sad news https://www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/news-centre/article/2023-04-15/big-t-has-passed-away?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
  17. Hearing that Leon Flint has signed in the Polish Under-24 League for Ostrovia.
