Once bitten twice shy.

This is one of those occasions where the asset system actually works, Edinburgh clearly have a valuable asset that they are now going to sell, if they can find a buyer. Not quite sure they will find a buyer to fork out £30000-£40000 for him, at the end of the day Cook worth is the amount Belle Vue are willing to pay.

Is this post from your virtual World, or a bit of sport, either way your reading something that just isn't there, interesting you use the word "could", which of makes my point. Alden "could" indeed bang in some high scores, but having a spell away from racing, and in particular racing in the PL even you must admit his signing is a gamble, one I hope pays off. And yes I think Tero Aarnio will be a good signing for Newcastle, some big scores with the Diamonds last season are there for all to see, particularly if they can get him start in a reserve position, Matt Wethers as the potential to do a similar job at Berwick.
-
Alden could be anything, so this signing is a gamble.

https://twitter.com/SpeedwayScunny You can provisionally add Taylor Poole to Scunthorpe, visa allowing.

Bit of a issue though, from a clubs point of view you want to race on a day where you have the best chance of attracting the most people through the gates, to do that you need an attractive and winning team, to do that you need good riders, and most good riders race in Poland on a regular bases each Sunday ruling them out of a Sunday track.
-
Completely agree, sad thing is though a lot of the European riders at least look at Poland, Sweden and their own Countries first, then use a contract over here as a bit of a top up.

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
screm replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
In there lies the issue, IF he gets a top four place in his State Champs, which of course he may well do. If he does, then all well and good but its a bit of a risk building your team with a potential signing in it. Looking at the article its pretty obvious that Scunthorpe are looking to bring Alex Davies and Ryan Douglas back for next season. -

Tomorrow. -
Yes, but I hope Berwick don't stoop to Mr Havelock`s level, I believe Carr will sign for Berwick.

Dont think he signed in Poland till June, so mid-season, and didn't get much more than a couple of meetings thereafter, but your right, the injury he suffered at Rye House certainly had a big say on his season, potentially a good signing for someone. -

Bellego was in the Rawicz squad last season but didn't get a huge amount of meetings out in Poland, it would be difficult to seeing him giving up on Poland, but its obvious he`s not returning to parent club Berwick, and looking unlikely he will return to Sheffield so a season, and full time employment at Scunthorpe might be on the cards. -

Not sure when the State Finals take place but could or would Scunthorpe will till then, any decent alternatives to Poole might`ve been signed up other teams. -
So some of your posts come from your virtual World, now we learn some are just for a bit of sport. No it wasn't, only the signing of Kieran Douglas was.

Certainly nothing announced by the club during last season via their news letter. Sorry no baiting here, you made the claim you thought every club paid more than Berwick, I was simply asking you to back up the claim.
-
So Keith Chapman becomes chairman of the BSPA.
-
Surely Rob Grant must be up there, started at Berwick in the juniors, progressed to the full team and from memory only had one season away at Edinburgh, otherwise he was a Bandit throughout his career, and happily is still involved at Berwick.

We told told by the fountain of knowledge over on the Berwick thread that he was nailed on for a return to Shielfield, only time will tell on that of course by Longtrack commitments allowing Josef Franc certainly comes in on a very attractive average no matter who he signs for. -

Finished the 2014 season with an average just over six, so he will need to get a top four place in State Champs if he is to ride for anyone next season. -
And what exactly made you think, I think you`ll find Berwick have an excellent reputation among their riders past and present as being prompt payers, I wonder if every club could say that.
