Surely its up to the individual as to how and who they sponsor, be it through the club or approaching a rider personally. Looks like To The Point sponsors riders through friendship rather than any kind of commercial gain, be it a rider or an event like the up and coming night with Tatum and Pearson where incidentally its great to see part of the new consortium getting involved as sponsors.
-
While your probably right, there will be knock backs, but its good to see the club going out to the local businesses looking for sponsorship, if you don't ask you don't get, with a bit of luck the club might find not only a new sponsor but one who turns into a long term sponsorship.

Just a guess but I think the Premier League Pairs might be Friday July 8th at Somerset.
-
You might want to message Lewis Bridger on his Twitter page, he was offering his services as a mechanic a few weeks ago.

Those who haven't bought their tickets for the up and coming night with Pearsen & Tatum had better get them soon, the Supporters Club page on Facebook is reporting that tickets are going fast, full details and contacts can be found there along with the many sponsors who are supporting the event. Well done to all concerned.

Foreign Based Team Gb Training At Last
screm replied to Bagpuss's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
True but I would hope most of the 15 will be younger riders, some from the Poultec training scheme for example. British speedway needs to start somewhere to get the improvement necessary to put our riders and our Team GB back at the top on a regular bases. -
No sarcasm, just ignorance, typical maybe and probably better off ignored. I am delighted to be one of "THEM" to. No mushrooms here.

Foreign Based Team Gb Training At Last
screm replied to Bagpuss's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Well done to the BSPA and all concerned for organising this, if it becomes a regular thing it could benefit our riders and Team GB no end. -
Isn't editing posts in the way you have done against forum rules. Liking the change of username. I wouldn't bother Tsunami as I don`t think this particular posters ventures far from the Berwick thread, at least the rest of the forum is spared that.
-
No sorry I have Newcastle as my team and unless they find a cure that`s just how it will stay, though I`m very happy to enquire on your behalf, maybe they will open a special section all to yourself.
-
The official Arsenal FC site carries full details of their Supporters Club, right from their disabled fans to their gay fans.
-
Now that this is going to arbitration, hopefully a sensible price will be found for Newcastle to pay Redcar, Matej will be able to be a Diamond this season and Redcar will complete their team. A happy ending.
-
But so well deserved though.
-
You're giving me far to much credit, but thanks anyway, my post actually started with a conversation at work with someone who already had tickets, I asked him if there were any tickets left which he didn't know, that lead to Facebook where I saw the contact details. I thought to put it on here to either help others and/or to get a sensible reply, this has been done in post 1211.
-
Sad to read that, though I hope most fans of either team would be above all that and get to Armadale or Ashfield to support their team and have a good night out at the speedway.
-
For those who haven't yet purchased their tickets for the up and coming Q & A night with Nigel Pearson and former Berwick rider Kelvin Tatum, there is information to do so on the Berwick Supporters Club page on Facebook, I don't know how many tickets they still have on sale as the information was posted a couple of weeks ago so apologies if all the tickets have gone though I am sure the club will have advertised this event through their news letters or on the official site, especially as Nigel and Kelvin are only visiting a handful of places on their tour so to get them to Berwick is a real coup for the Supporters Club and Berwick Speedway.
-
Don`t lose sleep, I think we all know the answer.
-
All well and good, but I`d wager your good lady didn't take out a British passport as a way round a rule to gain employment.
-
But that wouldn't be bending the rules, that would be breaking them, which is why I am sure the rule makers will enforce the rule governing 3pt PL reserves. Your club has abided by the rules, as has mine, as has every other club in the PL, every other club apart from one it seems.
-
I feel a "in the best interests of speedway" coming on, and people wonder why so many supporters are walking away.
-
The rule as I understand it is PL teams must use a rider at reserve who is British and eligible to race in the NL, Davey is neither.
-
Surely if a rider chooses to ride in a league match in Poland, his EL would have to go with a NL rider as cover.
-
But under the rules ( remember them ), or by exploiting some technicality, Edinburgh shouldn't be allowed to sign Davey, crap or otherwise.
