  1. You may well be right but this particular shop owner and property owner, along with the other members of the new consortium have stepped forward and helped save Berwick Speedway. It seems they have come forward with one or two new ideas to, for example the club have had someone go out and knock on doors to look for sponsorship, for what I hear that has paid off with sponsorship coming into the club. Also it seems the Speedway club is going to be working closer with the football club, that can only be a good thing for both parties. To answer your second part, no, I don't think there will be a VIP Club this year.
  2. Errr she isn't a she, you need to look at he of the multi usernames usually found somewhere on the Berwick threads.
  3. Those Berwick fans who haven't yet, or are thinking of taken up the clubs invitation to go on the free bus to Redcar need to be quick. Seats are fast running out with now less than a dozen left.
  4. Couldn't they just as easy take Mondays or Wednesday, where there is no regular PL racing, Friday would be a no go anyway as it would clash with SGP practice days.
  5. Surely Nicholls and Cook racing on the track the Final takes place week in week out must count for something.
  6. Would there be enough assets of the PL teams to fill each team.
  7. Sheffield Somerset Glasgow Workington Ipswich Newcastle Peterborough Berwick Edinburgh Scunthorpe Plymouth Redcar Rye House

  9. Back finished last season on an average of 7-42, so its unlikely he will be in the Workington team for the start of the season.
  10. Looks like probably not as I am sure they wouldn't have gone with his signing had they known he was after a Tier 2 visa, which obviously means he would be out of the Country till May.
  11. That's fantastic news that the club have a new team sponsor and congratulations to those involved in making it happen. Berwick Speedway seems to be starting the 2016 season in a positive way.
  12. Nicholls inclusion certainly makes Team GB stronger, especially round his home track.
  13. Looks like Workington will need a new signing to start the season with. Ty Proctor ‏@typroctor20 21m21 minutes ago I'll be missing the start of the season due to continued visa problem wish @OfficialComets all the best for the season #whensitbeen12months? Workington Comets ‏@OfficialComets 3m3 minutes ago We will issue a response to @typroctor20 decision not to start the season with us later today
  14. I think Carr could be a real trump card at reserve, looking at the other riders in his position there is nobody he cant beat, certainly at Berwick. He now has the experience in the PL of all of the away tracks so there is no reason for him not to pick up points on his travels. Along with Whethers, who should be a dominant reserve, Berwick have a real strength in the bottom two positions.
  15. Maybe you would like to take your feel good factor along to this. Berwick Bandits Supporters Club AGM. Saturday February 20th Black & Gold at 7-30pm.
  16. When our Czech trio first came over they had an apartment along the river front, I think after that Rymel and Franc had a flat near the docks with Malovsky getting accommodation from a sponsor.
  17. Never has one persons page been viewed so many times in such a short time.
  18. Haven't Redcar recently announced that they had options and were talking to a number of riders. Me thinks someone's on the wind up with this thread.
  19. Absolutely, I think Peter provided accommodation for Rymel, Makovsky and Franc when they first came over, as do the current promotion with Garcia for example last season.
  20. Don`t think Glasgow are actually giving Barker a house, just somewhere to stay when to cover his Glasgow meetings, I don`t think Glasgow would be the first team to provide accommodation for one of their riders.
  21. In most cases that is usually true, as long as the highest average rider is your No1, the two lowest average riders are your reserves, obviously this year one of them has to be a three pointer and eligible to ride in the NL, unless your Edinburgh of course. Positions 2,3,4 and 5 can be any rider.
  22. Maybe this is something we could see more of, EL clubs racing challenge meeting against PL opposition, certainly looks to be a great way of opening the season.
  23. During Wyer`s Berwick racing days the recording of meetings wasn't exactly a regular thing, and his time at Berwick didn't go on season after season. IMO the box set was an excellent production and well worth buying.
  24. Mr Barker has a habit of being less than honest during an interview, I sat through two of his interviews at Berwick last season, one a work of pure fiction, the other a well scripted fantasy.
