  1. There`s been a number of things that have happened this winter that have been a positive move from the club, small in themselves but could pay dividends over the season, so well done to those concerned.
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQwtmpiPlP0&feature=youtu.be Short video from the Ipswich Speedway twitter page.
  3. I think Sheffield have a very decent side for this season, and will take a bit of stopping. An out and out No1, and in Bates, Garrity and Howarth, three riders very capable of backing Stead up. Young Berge should enjoy Owlerton as a home track, but much will depend on Richard Hall, if he scores at reserve as he should then I think Sheffield are the team to beat for 2016.
  4. Must admit I think it would be wise to get bikes out onto the track prior to opening night, the last thing anyone wants is the have a capacity crowd in the stadium, some of the best riders around in the pits, with all the media razzmatazz there to report on first night, and you end up with riders struggling with a rough track. Surely some kind of a rehearsal would be the way to go.
  5. Maybe if there`s a disagreement they`ll go paper scissors stone.
  6. Is there not riders seeded straight through to the Final, you`d think Tai would get one of those picks.
  7. Absolutely, Suzi Perry was the main presenter on the BBC`s coverage of F1 and Moto GP, you`d think her main role will be coverage of the Moto GP on BT Sport and do the occasional SGP when Moto GP allows. A positive move though IMO for BT Sport getting someone like Perry invloved with speedway.
  8. Best of luck to Matej at Newcastle, proven at PL level and very capable of doing more than a decent job. Good to see it has now been confirmed officially.
  9. The kind of averages, scores and performances Cook has had for Edinburgh proves that, he was the best rider at PL level and has now gone on to hopefully further his career. Best of luck to him.
  10. Owlerton should give Sheffield a home track advantage that will see them in a play-off place.
  11. I am sure someone far more qualified will know better, but maybe Cook set a time of 62-8 on Saturday August 15th. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berwick_Bandits
  12. Pretty fair assessment, you could probably put a question mark against every team in both plusses and minus, and obviously some teams will be hit by injuries more than others. I like Sheffield and see them as the team to beat, where as I see Rye House and Redcar as weaker teams.
  13. If Workington still intend bringing back Proctor in May, once he gets his visa, they will need to be wary of signing a rider who will use them for a bit of average fiddling, though its not as easy as it once was thanks to these rolling averages. Maybe they would be better forgetting about Proctor and just sign a rider for the season.

  15. Looking at his messages on social media a rug rat and an empty diary.
  16. Rye House, Redcar and Scunthorpe all have riders yet to get true averages, once that happens you`d think they are the teams most likely to make changes.
  17. We can only judge the way things are now, not unless you want to tell us who goes and who comes in.
  18. Grandstand holds 2200, dont know how many you would get along the back straight.
  19. Maybe he`s taken all his imaginary friends, that`s how its a sell out.
  20. I think Liam could be Berwick`s trump card, he has upgraded his kit and gained new sponsorship to put back into his racing. He is as good a No7 as there is out there, he has raced on all the PL tracks so should be able to compete with his fellow No7`s.

  22. Understand your point on Glasgow, there top four is very impressive which will carry them so far but as things stand not to the top of the PL. As for Berwick I have then around halfway, but if Wethers can become a dominant reserve, and Alden hits the kind of scores he is capable of then Berwick could challenge for top four.
