  1. It may well be, but it is also a access way for people to get out the back of the main stand, and the view cant be that much better from standing at the back rather than sitting in the back row. There cant be a bad view from anywhere inside the EoES, I am afraid I back those who want to stop people from standing in a seated area.
  2. Delighted to report that Berwick`s Leon Flint has won the first round of the British Youth Championship up at Glasgow this afternoon.
  3. Maybe he`s just good at what he does, look after Poole Speedway.
  4. Newcastle have a far stronger side out tonight than last night, so we may need all of the ten point advantage. But we were written off at Armadale last Friday and look what happened, so we are aren`t giving up yet.
  5. Maybe this is just a Peterborough thing but I don`t understand why you would go into an area with perfectly good seats and stand, I mean its not as if the EoES struggles for space, space where you can stand if you want.
  6. Agree with Ford 100%, its up to the rest to catch up with Poole, it shouldn't be for Poole to come back to the pack.
  7. Might need more than crossing fingers. Tai Woffinden ‏@TWoffinden 11m11 minutes ago Just got to the track 99.9% the race will not be on tonight! But thats just my opinion
  8. Shouldn't that be Scotland with a little piece of England.
  9. Berwick continued their winning ways against a depleted Newcastle team, but you can only beat what`s in-front of you and Berwick did that. Berwick`s all round team strength was the key with all but Mellgren winning a race, Newcastle main threat came from young Lambert who was excellent both in terms of winning races on his own but also in his team riding with the equally impressive Ryan Fisher. Hopefully ten points will be enough to bring another trophy to Shielfield but with riders returning to the Newcastle we will need all of the ten points. One big positive was the size of the crowd, the meeting was held up at the start to let people in, last weeks crowd was good but there look to be more there last night.
  10. Shouldn't you give the current riders a chance to fail at least before you dump them, Ipswich have a decent enough team, yes one or two riders should or could be doing better but the Witches have only raced a few meetings. Anyway better or ready made replacements aren`t exactly thick on the ground.
  11. Fisher was very good at Berwick tonight, but he usually is, in fact during an interview during last weeks meeting with Redcar he was saying how much he liked the Sheilfield track.
  12. Oh how I wish we could drag this thread, kicking and screaming maybe, back to Berwick`s win at Edinburgh.
  13. I hope Newcastle will be at full strength for the PL fixture, as for tonight there is still enough riders in the Diamonds team to cause a problem or two for the home side.
  14. Absolutely, there`s enough childish bickering on the Berwick threads without anyone else's in put.
  15. In early season matches there is always a surprise result or two, and last night at Edinburgh was certainly one of those. Time will tell if the Monarchs aren't quite as good as some thought and Berwick not quite as poor as some thought. Whatever, it was certainly an impressive and welcome win for the Bandits and will do wonders for their confidence.
  16. There has been rain over night, maybe it was the tears of the Monarchs, and it remains cloudy. The forecast for later is an improving one. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819
  17. Oh come after many times being on the wrong end of a humping at Armadale surely Berwick can celebrate this one. The best wins are normally the unexpected ones and this is certainly one of those, well done to Berwick.
  18. Official Edinburgh site looks promising. http://www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/news-centre/article/2016-04-08/looking-good?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
