Berwick`s looked to be holding up reasonably well but there seemed to be a drop off for the meetings with Newcastle and then Sheffield last week, which must be a worry as they are attractive opposition. Losing at home doesn't help, lets hope tomorrows practice find the answers to rectify that, and everything is looked at to get the team back winning.

You`d think Proctor would be of interest, but that could mean more than one change to the Bears team. -

Maybe they could bring a bus load of their friends and family.

And on a mountain bike. -
Then with an inconsistent No1, coupled with arguably our most potent scorer going into the top five, there may be troubled times ahead for our team. Lets hope they find the answers in this Saturday practice session so we get a winning team out on track sooner rather than later.

It proves at least that the club is using its wide range of contacts to attract possible riders to the club, maybe this new Dutch rider isn't quite ready yet but could be a signing for next season.

It is to be hoped that Alden finds the necessary consistency to hold the No1 race jacket, good one week poor the next wont help the team. Berwick look weaker with Bager as reserve, Berwick may need to look at that should Mellgren be unable to come back into the team anytime soon, especially we are to have any ambition of making a play off spot.

If the Berwick riders are attending a practice at Shielfield, Workington are having to put on a filler meeting, as was suggested yesterday it would have been an idea to run the second leg of the Border Trophy or whatever its called. Not a PL meeting but better than practice. Reading the Workington Somerset thread it was mentioned that Workington were keen on the idea, to late now though.

Pedersen needs to dump the bird, stop being Mr lover lover and get back to being Mr Angry.

Berwick Versus Sheffield: 14th May, 7pm
screm replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Nothing sucks the atmosphere out of, or empties a stadium quicker than a couple of home defeats and poor performances, lets hope whatever the problems are within the team are addressed now we have a couple of weeks to do so. I am sure our promotion and consortium will meet, if they haven't already, to do just that. On last night Doolan, Pyjper and Ayres were decent and did all they could to at least keep the scoreline respectable, the others inconsistent and poor, and need to use this time off to sort things out, or maybe the club will sort things out for them. As others have mentioned you`ll struggle to carry any rider but when that rider is the No1 its doubly difficult. Take nothing away from Sheffield who were excellent, inparticular I thought Josh Bates caught the eye, far more in control and looked very classy. -
Unless some of the riders are riding elsewhere it would make sense but having announced there`ll be no meeting next Saturday it would be un-wise to reverse that decision now, yes there`s the news letter, Facebook page etc but I would imagine there`s a sizeable percentage of our crowd that wont have internet access.

Giving his scores this season, and slump in average, why would Holub not be the one to go. -

Big blow if we are to lose Liam, but injuries happen sadly so we must try and beat Sheffield with the team we get tonight. -

Berwick certainly have their work cut out for this meeting tomorrow night, I really think Sheffield are the team to beat this season, but Berwick normally produce the goods when its least expected. I am sure our visitors will be targeting a full points away win but with a new riding order maybe we have found the answer to last weeks collapse. -
Delighted that Sky will once again be covering Berwick so congratulations to all concerned at the club. This means I wont miss the Glasgow meeting as I will be in Prague that night at the SGP, so for me its a win win.
