  2. Well done jellyman, hopefully your kind gesture makes a tidy sum for the Ben Fund.
  3. While Gapinski isn't a regular at Stal Gorzow this season he is very unlikely to give up his Polish license, Seb Ulamek rode yesterday for Czestochowa so you can rule him out to, infact you could just about rule out any rider with a Ekstralega club. That leaves the Nice Polish Liga, they still run squad systems but you`ve more chance in getting a rider out of their squads who isn't racing on a regular bases.
  4. I think I am right in saying we have 4 home and 4 away in the PL, at least 2 more meetings in the KOC, against Rye House, and 1 challenge meeting with Workington, plus any meetings should Berwick make the play offs.
  5. He rode in Berwick`s meeting last night, and I think he had a practice at Peterborough on Friday, but IMO not the new rider Berwick need.
  6. Yes he rode in last nights meeting, lively style, attacked the track but no where near a 7pt assessed PL rider.
  7. Lets hope everything works out, the club have been working overtime to get the right rider in.
  8. Berwick unable to use Gappmaier as he is on an assessed average, so their team will be Doolan, Jorgensen, Pijper, Wethers with Carr as reserve.
  9. Well done to all for putting this meeting on and for getting all the races done just before the curfew, crowd look reasonable for this kind of meeting and I hope it encourages Berwick to put more junior meetings on when we have a run of blank Saturday`s in the future. For the main meeting it was always predictable that Liam Carr would do well and he deserved his win, the riders who caught the eye were Connor Coles and Rob Shuttleworth, the latter involved in the race of the night in Ht14. If Tobias Thomsen was brought over has a possible replacement for Seb Alden then I`m afraid the search will have to go on, attacked the track, 100% effort but 7pt rider and a rider capable of scoring points in the main body of the team, I don`t think so. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the 125cc Championships, lets hope we see some of these riders go all the in the future, maybe the BSPA are on the right track with these Championships. Congratulations to Dan Thompson on his win, and to young Luke Harrison who celebrated his two third places as if he`d won the meeting.
  10. Hopefully a few will turn out to support this meeting, good weather forecast and plenty races for the admission. Credit to the club for putting on this meeting, especially with a baron July. Its easy for people to find alternative things to do on a Saturday night.
  11. Don`t bother, its difficult to reason with the hard of understanding.
  12. With the 4`s next weekend it might've been a request from the BSPA.
  13. Berwick`s Leon Flint took part in last nights FIM World 250 Youth cup in Gustrow, as some wont know how he got on I wont spoil things, but here is the meeting, Leon is racing at No4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28jYRJ-Zrnc
  14. It would be pointless bringing in a rider to strengthen the lower end of the team, with Gappmaier and Carr at reserve we have strength there. Your weakness is covering for Alden with R/R, to ask Gappmaier to move up and score adequately would be a mistake.
  15. I don't think, nor want Tai to be a roll model, but I would like him to string a sentence together without using the kind of language we heard last night. Engage brain before mouth.
  16. Sorry but your just plain wrong on this, as any sensible thinking person would agree, going with your argument there`s nothing stopping you answering my post with a tirade of swear words, something which you wont do, if indeed you are right that its not that bloody serious.
  17. Woffinden is a hugely talented, World class rider, who already is a multi World champ and likely to win more, that doesn't give him the right to swear in interviews and make him look a bit of a fool to put it lightly. Lewis Hamilton didn't swear after winning today`s F1 GP, nor to the best of my knowledge has he resorted to swearing during any other interview. Andy Murray won Wimbledon today, but didn't launch into a four letter tirade after his match, nor has he when losing a number of major Finals over recent years. As our World champ, and being arguably the highest profile rider, is it asking to much for Tai to carry himself with a little more professionalism.
  18. you never know if Berwick have a half decent week with meetings at Ipswich and Peterborough we could be about to get new leaders of the PL table.
  19. Maybe she should though you get the feeling with Tai it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference.
  20. Cant understand either backing Woffinden, or offering up various excuses, surely a World champion and professional sportsman shouldn't need to be told not to swear during an on camera interview.
  21. Surely Lambert should be nailed on, both on current form and with a view to future years, the last place IMO is a choice between Nicholls and Cook, both Belle Vue riders of course. I think the reserve argument is over, our reserve should be Josh Bates.
