  1. Quite a night last night as Glasgow handed out a right royal roasting to Berwick, in fact its hard to think of a more comprehensive and total performance from a team at Shielfield. Only down side for the Tigers was the loss of Danny Ayres after an awful looking Ht8 crash, seems he will miss a couple of meeting with concussion which is bad enough but things could've been a whole lot worse. No point picking out an outstanding rider for Glasgow as they all were and if this is the level they are going to ride at it will take some team to stop them. Night to forget I am afraid for Berwick and this defeat just about ends their play off hopes, as IMO to make the play offs now they will need to 4pt away wins at probably two of our remaining away trips. It must be hoped that our new rider was suffering from first night nerves as his performance was less than what is required to say the least, tailed off, gave up after three laps in his first ride, and the only rider he beat was the equally poor Gappmaier. A much better performance at Somerset, from Stachyra and the rest of the team please. One positive thing was there looked to be a decent Wednesday night crowd there.
  2. I demand a re-think,there`s every chance the better half will drag me round the Trafford Centre for the first half of Saturday, can we start a petition.
  3. Seems Hans Nielsen has taken a dim view of Nicki going off on his hols during World cup week, I applaud him for doing so and lets face it Pedersens form has taken a bit of a nose dive this season, certainly in SGP.
  4. There`s probably a decent being made here, but I cant see it.
  5. Could've and should've been testing the PJR rocket or bag of spanners at Belle Vue a couple of days ago.
  6. Surely their chances of making the Final increase if Laguta is fit, which it seems he will. I make Australia favourites, Russia second, Denmark third, USA mainly through Hancock will be meeting spoilers.
  7. How Stachyra goes tonight will go along way to Berwick winning this meeting, unfortunately for him IMO there can be no settling in period as we are now at the business end of the season so with a two or three meeting settling in period and our meetings will be all but run. There`s a play off place to fight for and Berwick are in with as good a chance as any.
  8. That`s the worry, at times you think something that works and is popular with the fans just wont do.
  9. Probably, but if he sings the National anthem, definitely.
  10. From reading posts from those who were there that the weekend was a success, with one or two tweeks it seems the BSPA have falling something that actually works.
  11. We had rain in Berwick over night, but that`s all gone now to leave a sunny start to today.
  12. Rumour is he was getting the words to the National anthem done, so there`s no excuses the next time he wins a GP.
  13. Is any rider above practising on a track he hasn't ridden on, especially before a SWC, add in National captain. Its noticeable that Woffinden makes just about all SGP practice sessions.
  14. Berwick and Glasgow produced a very decent meeting earlier in the season, no reason why that wont be repeated this Wednesday. Berwick could do with a win to get back into the play off shake up, and a win would keep Glasgow within striking distance.
  15. To be fair to Nicholls he said before Saturdays meeting in Vojens that Rossiter had made the correct decision with the team and that he hadn't been riding well enough to deserve a pick, so I don`t see Nicholls as the prima donor.
  16. I applaud Hans Nielsen`s stance over Pedersen, it seems Nicki has more interests and distractions away from speedway these days.
  17. Doesn't really matter about the punctuation or spelling, on this occasion he is right, Woffinden, and Lambert for that matter should've been there for the Team GB practice.
  18. Very disappointing, especially Tai, as best rider, captain and team leader hasnt yet rode there and you would think wouldve done everything possible to be there, Lambert at least has ridden there before. At least we can cross the lack of track time off the excuses list, should Tai offer it of course..
  19. Whilst I agree with you, Glasgow turning up with guests galore and/or R/R on a Saturday could have the same effect on travelling fans as this Wednesday`s meeting is going to have. Looks like Berwick were caught between a rock and a hard place.
