Berwick V Somerset (7.30pm) Monday September 5th
screm replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
To be honest you don`t need to be all that knowledgeable to know the comments from the centre green last night were un-called for, wrong and very silly. If there is to be a take over then I hope things are renewed and refreshed both on track and off, meeting presentation would be included in that I hope. -

Fair to say Mr Jensen isn't the biggest fan of the Berwick track and giving his most recent performance at Berwick I don't think we need to listen to his opinion all that much. -

Great to hear you enjoyed your night. "Demise of the Bandits", not so fast, I am hopeful a buyer will be found and Berwick will come to the tapes next season and for quite a few more. Fully agree with you on the comments from the centre green following the Ht11 red light, not called for, nor necessary, no matter how frustrating it was to see the Berwick riders stop. -

Certainly a strange one as Perry and Jorgensen clearly saw something that the two Somerset riders didn't, Not sure how the referee could stop the race as on track there was nothing wrong, it was a satisfactory start, no jumping, no tape touching and nobody came down in the first bend, very unlucky on the Berwick riders though. Credit to Berwick for holding the PL table toppers, as has been mentioned Liam Carr is in good form right now, and again produced the goods last night. Another low crowd though racing on an off night, a working night and with the schools due to go back that will have all worked against the club, hopefully the people will come out for the last meeting of the season this Saturday against Rye House, maybe the club will go down the huge announcement coming route to get a few more out. -
Congratulations to all at Somerset Speedway on finishing top of the PL table.

Very pleasant start weather to this Monday, and forecast to stay good for all day. No doubting Somerset will be looking for a full point away win but I hope the Berwick riders will answer their critics on track as a home win will at least put a few smiles back on a few faces. -
Whilst I agree with much of what you say taking away or reducing the banking would give us a gate and go track even more than we have now. I would love to see the track widened but that`s not going to happen, however we have seen great meetings on the present shape which leads to the thorny subject of track prep.

Not what Plymouth Speedway needed, hopefully they get their fence repaired and those responsible are dealt with and then reported to the Police.

I know when Edberg snr was involved with Hammarby he was a big sponsor of Tomasz Gollob, if he was to take over maybe he could persuade Mr G to become a Bandit.

Me to and I have found no problems. -
As things stand right now yes. Berwick`s rider asset wont be all that valuable. Could be wrong but I think Fredrik appealed his sentence, won, and got mega bucks by way of compensation.

Prague`s public service is one of the big pluses of the city, how you managed to cock it up is beyond me, I`m quite happy to admit to not being the sharpest when it comes to this kind of thing but if I can manage it I think everyone else will. -
Don't let anything from stopping you from making petty points will you.

Don`t think this will come as a surprise to anyone, especially after recent events where our consortium resigned. There are rumours of interested parties, lets hope they come true and Berwick Speedway will come to the tapes next season on what would their 50th in the sport. I would like to pass on my thanks to John and Ryan Anderson, George Hepburn for keeping the speedway going, but its been obvious that they weren't enjoying it anymore and if your not enjoying it you`d might as well get out, I am sure they will enjoy their Saturday nights more as supporters of Berwick Speedway.

Lambert is a definite talent and has time on his side, he has started racing in Sweden which I hope continues next season, and I hope he gets fixed up in Poland and rides against better riders week in week out. That of course will mean him dropping our PL but I think he has the talent to reach GP level, racing in better leagues will help that.

If you listen to recent rumours there`s plenty to go on, but hopefully all the headlines will be made on Monday and our meeting with Somerset.
