Never been myself, but from seeing meetings at Scunthorpe on Sky or from reading what the fans report on here maybe the BSPA could look at taking the PLRC there. Obviously Owlerton has the off track facilities to hold a prestige's meeting, where maybe Scunthorpe hasen`t but IMO the vast majority of people go to see the on track racing which appears not to have been the best yesterday.

Far to long I agree but it was two meetings, I was at the PL 4`s a couple or three years ago where it was another six hour meeting, mainly down to accidents and injured riders.
-
Decent idea in principle but probably unworkable in practice, for example had the three meetings had taken place in the weekend just gone, and the ELRC had been yesterday you wouldve had no Doyle, Woffinden, Holder, Kasprzak, Zagar, NKI, or Nicholls all racing in Poland, though Nicholls missed his due to a delayed flight but still take all those riders away and your left with a poorer version of what should be a decent meeting.

Didn't think they could do it be all credit to Torun. -

Bit more like it from Torun in Ht4, after the first two meetings we could do with a performance from an away team here. -
Very disappointing to hear, you`d think Doolan would be proud to represent Berwick in this meeting, maybe he should've pulled out and let Jorgensen have a go.
-
You could say that in previous years maybe but all the top riders in the PL have made it to Sheffield with only Kennett and Lambert missing out due to injury.
-
Certainly going to be a strange looking team that Somerset bring to Edinburgh, with Swindon at Lakeside they will be without Tungate, Wright and Grajzconek. Don`t know the fitness of Dan Bewley but Belle Vue Colts have a NL meeting at Coventry this Friday and as this is a re-arranged fixture will Coventry have first call on his services, should he be fit to ride.

Speedway Referee Numbers In Decline

Good idea but how many of the riders would actually do it. -
You cant help riders being injured, Lambert hurt himself at Plymouth on Friday and has been signed off for 48hrs, so he would've missed Kings Lynn meeting at Leicester last night. Kennett had already picked up an injury, and then pulled up in his 4th ride at Berwick last night meaning he didn't come out in Ht15.

You`d think Workington might need Hansen for their meeting at Newcastle. -

Edward Kennett pulled up in his last ride, and has with drawn from today's PLRC due to injury so Rye may need a guest at No1. -
Edward Kennet has pulled out of the PLRC due to injury. Kyle Howarth now comes into replace Kennett.

Berwick V Rye House (7pm) 10th September

No suspicious decision, Kennett did get it just on the line. Man up, we`ve sat shivering through June, July and August, trust to luck that our season is over and we get half decent weather for the last meeting or two. -

Kennett Jorgensen Perry Lykke. It was very close but Kennett did just nick it on the line. -

You can ignore the score as this was a far better meeting than it would suggest. Berwick looked to have a comfortable lead but a 8-1 in Ht9 brought Rye House right back into things, thankfully for the home team they hit back with maximum heat wins of their own. Kennett, Robson and Branford were excellent for the visitors but unfortunately for them Lanham and Heeps were weak links. So our 49th season is over but I believe we will see a 50th season and many more with a bit of luck. Hopefully any new owners will bring the necessary changes both on track and off, re-build the relationship between the football club and the speedway and re-engage with the fans who aren`t turning up on a Saturday night anymore. Do all that and they could have a successful club. -
Robert Lambert out Ulrich Oostegaard in.

One things for sure, the speedway is poorer for losing the consortium, though its positive news to hear that under the right ownership of the club they would be willing to help.

Garrity is out of the PLRC with Claus Vissing coming in.
