  2. Leon's French League debut ended in two defeats today as his side Marmande lost 42-48 to Macon, and 39-51 at the hands of Lamothe Landerron. Despite the defeats Leon became a firm fans favourite from the off, scoring paid 7 in both matches, including an incredible win over a 500cc rider. Full match report will be available tomorrow. #22 Information taken from Leon Flint Racing Facebook page. Well done to Leon on a very decent start to his racing in 2017.
  3. This years trips to SGP will take me to Prague and Torun, with a short trip to Kings Lynn in July for the SWC round.
  4. Looks like there will be another date for the diary, Saturday August 5th for Kevin Doolan`s Testimonial meeting.
  5. He did indeed, though this time round his retirement seems more permanent. Mr Barrie has presented meetings all over the World, I wish him a long and happy retirement.
  6. THANK YOU DICK....WELCOME ROY AND STEVE! Ladies and Gentlemen tonight we can confirm that the season opening 50th season spectacular meeting will be your last opportunity to witness a master at work! Dick Barrie has made the decision to hand over the microphone and step into retirement from meeting presentation duties. Your new meeting presentation team will be a double act! Bandits announcer Steve Hayward makes the full time transition from refs box to the race track on a Saturday night and he will be joined by "Rantin" Roy Clarke. " Both Roy and Steve will be putting a very different spin on things and the dynamics of a two man presentation team is a very exciting prospect! Roy and Steve have some great plans up their sleeves and this will only add more entertainment to your Saturday night experience." adds Scott Courtney, "Dick Barrie has given a fantastic service to the club throughout the years and stepping away from the limelight on March 18th seems a very fitting way to bow out. Dick will be welcome as always at Berwick Speedway and still has a lot to offer the club. On behalf of everyone involved at the Club past and present, we would like to thank Dick for his unrivalled commitment over the years and we wish him all the very best in his retirement from meeting presentation duties" News taken from the Berwick Facebook page.
  7. Gomolski`s signing seems dependant on sponsorship, must admit I`d be steering well clear of signing a rider where there is every chance he will miss meetings.

  10. Confirmed on Berwick`s offical site. http://berwickbandits.co/article/back-black-gold-bandits-announce-new-commercial-manager
  11. Young Flint clearly is a talent and it would be great to see him in a Berwick team in the future, but has yesterdays announcement proves his name and talent are knowing in places other than Berwick, you can bet when Flint becomes old enough to sign for a team, and become their asset, there will be many teams other than Berwick courting him, most with big fat sponsorship deals to tempt him.
  12. BBC Leicester Sport ‏@BBCRLSport 34m34 minutes ago More BREAKING: Sheffield promoter Damien Bates has been confirmed as the new owner of Leicester Lions.
  13. Leon flint racing ‏@Leonflintracing 10h10 hours ago More Leon is proud to announce that he has signed for French La Ligue Nationale side MCM Marmande. He will join them as their 250cc No.7.
  14. SF Speedway Media ‏@SFspeedwaymedia 7m7 minutes ago More We have very exciting news regarding our youth rider @Leonflintracing that will be released in the morning! So proud to be involved with him
  15. The statements put out today all say that going to Leicester will be short term so that Brandon is brought back to usable condition, though why it has been let to get into the state it is in now is another question. If by May or June say and the Bees are back home then all well and good though I think there will be further excuses made, further deadlines extended and Coventry will see out the season at Leicester which will almost certainly lead to another winter of uncertainty before the 2018 season.
  16. Workington Comets ‏@OfficialComets 2m2 minutes ago More Great news as Thomas Armstrong Ltd will continue as our main sponsor
  17. Delighted to see this saga come to a positive end and Coventry remain on track. Thing is I get the feeling that a return to Brandon wont happen.
  18. Hopefully there will be some kind of an announcement tomorrow, one that brings this whole saga to an end with a bit of luck.
  19. Sky are not crap, they are giving a window to speedway, what is crap is that after so many years coverage we still dont have a main sponsor for our main league.
  20. If the vast majority of those 1000 correspondents turned up at Brandon each race night then the Bees might not be in the pickle they find themselves.
  21. I`m sure the BSPA will certainly be considering considering planning for the event.
  22. Peterborough at the minute are due to race on two other Friday nights other than against Berwick, Scunthorpe March 24th, then Sheffield July 14th.
  23. We were told by Buster last Friday that by now we would know what was happening at Coventry by now, and we`re still waiting. One wonders if the BSPA would be so charitable with the amount of time had it another club.
  24. You could still do a tour, just not all the meetings will involve Berwick, but I`m sure any tracks you could visit would be very welcome of the extra few through their gate and of course their bar takings would go up, for the reasons posted already. Anyway as is mentioned on the fixture list fixtures are liable to change making any kind of arrangements a bit of a gamble.
