Bright and breezy start to this Saturday. Hopefully tonight we see Berwickproduce the kind of that I believe this team is capable of, do that and I see a home win, continue with current for and it may get untidy leaving more questions for the Berwick promotion. I wouldn't expect any team manager to be happy after the performance last said, hopefully the things he has to say to his riders before tonight will have the desired results.

Carr scored zero, so did fail to trouble the scorers, if the terminology I used is slightly to harsh then I accept that. Please don't think I am putting Berwick's failure to win meetings so far this season all down to Liam, far from it, we have a No1 who is failing to win races on a regular bases, a No5 who's drop in form of late is alarming and at least one other rider under performing. Hopefully for Liam his new equipment will do the trick and we will see the kind of scoring we saw towards the end of last season. -

So Berwick get the annual humping at Armadale, no surprise there, the Carr to No4 experiment failed miserably with him failing to trouble the scorers, there must now be question marks over his place in the team. All credit to any Berwick fan for making the trip up tonight. -

To be fair to Berwick, its not like we have any chance of getting something out of this meeting so the choice of guest rider at No7 is not going to make much of a difference. Good luck to Lawler, I hope he enjoys his night riding for us. -

Thank you. Why, one of his riders gets a chance of free practice at a track where Glasgow will be targeting an away win. -

While there are many fixtures going on today, so the chances of getting an alternative riders are lower, could Berwick not use Kyle Bickley, Jack Smith or Danny Ayres. No disrespect to young Lawler but he is really ready to come into this level of racing and be compeditive. -
Glasgow will provide tough opposition, but this is a must must win for Berwick, failure to do so will make team changes inevitable surely.

Like most other posters I forecast a big home win, from a Berwick point of view I just hope there is some positives, Carr returns to some kind of form, Bridger wins races, just something ..........anything. -

Like the look of this team, maybe though you`d still have the problem with Gappmaier at two that you do with Carr. Seems Berge isn't quite as happy at Berwick as he thought he might be so for him to leave the team would make sense for club and rider and Carr is weak at two, though I think the big problems for him are machine related, nevertheless he isn't, and doesn't look like scoring the points he should be so I agree about dropping him. Bellego being a club asset must be under consideration, though he has a full diary now so to add Berwick`s fixtures could prove a problem especially where there are clashes as I`m guessing the clubs he has now would take precedent over Berwick`s fixtures. -

You mean do they have the necessary to drop the weak links, or will there be a sacrificial lamb who pays for anothers inefficiencies. -

Newcastle prove yet again that they have a team capable of a play off place, problem is for Berwick you feel history is repeating itself yet again. -

Losing to Newcastle, Ipswich and Sheffield is one thing but to lose to Edinburgh, at home, is quite another. Interesting to see which way the management goes, stick with these riders in the hope they come good, drop the under performing riders lower down the team no matter how popular they are, or drop one or two of the top riders and free up more points. One things for sure, nothing clears a stadium more than home defeats. -

While I agree Luke in the team weakens the No7 position, giving the amount of meetings today, an adequate replacement isn't that easy to find. -

Not quite sure I get the negativity, yes 3 big defeats on our travels aren`t what was needed but I think we need to look at the opposition. As for tonight I think this will be a home win. Or giving the weather today, sun stroke, of course he could be ill after his first ride and with draw. -

Its been tough on Berwick that they have faced two fancied play off teams, Ipswich & Newcastle, then another last night that traditionally have had a decent home advantage. That said another hammering is not acceptable, all early season testing should be done and all the riders up to speed so to speak so IMO its fair to say certain riders need to up their game. One or two have pointed the finger at Bridger, seven points from your No1 is clearly not good enough but so far he has done well, true he is going to tracks for the first time but then what does that tell you about the performance from our other riders who have visited Owlerton many times and scored less than Lewis did last night. -

I think your being a tad optimistic with your score prediction but fully agree with you on Berge, on a former home track he should be a good scorer for Berwick. -
Car parking free at Berwick.
-
Not quite as easy as that though, many tracks don`t see to have as an accommodating land lord as Berwick though even the speedway club at Berwick have restrictions on when they can put covers down, for example had Berwick Rangers been at home last Saturday would the covers would the covering of the track happened. Many tracks have the GRA as land lords, what is their opinions on the covering of speedway tracks.

Nothing empties a stadium quicker than a few home defeats at the start of a season, the Scunthorpe promotion must be hoping their riders find the form to start winning, at home at least.
