  1. For tonight's meeting at Gorzow it looks like Nicki Pedersen will be using GTR engines.
  2. Looks like Nicki Pedersen will be the latest rider to test out the GTR engine in his Polish league match at Gorzow tonight.
  3. There was a few at Berwick last night, who were going onto Newcastle tonight.
  4. Peterborough are going through a tuff time of late so I`m expecting a very comfortable home win.
  5. I get the reason to start afresh but they could've started the rolling averages from the start of the season, going back to monthly averages is a backward step IMO and will be abused. Rolling averages weren't perfect but at least was harder to abuse.
  6. I hope so to, I believe Bridger certainly has the talent and with bikes to match can be a heavy scorer.
  7. Good grief, wait till we get to September/October when the riders who know they wont be back at their present teams start playing a wonky old hand, maybe it could be argued they`ve started already at Berwick.
  8. Yes, which leads to my question. We did have rolling averages that were worked out by the riders last 28 meetings, I think I am right in saying. Do we still have that, if not how are averages worked out now, please don't tell me we have gone back to monthly, as (back to thread ) that was easy and open to abuse, average fiddling, cheating.
  9. Fair point, Bridger came into the team on a hefty average, but because of mechanical problem's has never got anywhere near that average. Since switching to GM`s he has done better but even with a fall a 4pt return is not great and this is from someone who is delighted to see Bridger at Berwick and at the time of his signing predicted him to be one of the leagues top riders.
  10. After his accident at Berwick last night it looks like Simon Lambert will miss this meeting, Berwick`s Danny Gappmaier guests.
  11. Hats off to all concerned to those who helped get this meeting on as had it not been for covers there`s no way we would have seen any racing last night and I`m sure the small band of Peterborough were grateful to even in defeat. Covers do work, its just a pity more tracks don't seem to want to put the effort in in using them. I get the logistic and/or the financial argument, I get the fact that not all tracks either own their stadium or have landlords who would permit the speedway track to be covered but surely its worth looking at. Berwick don't get it perfect every time but they are leading the way. Meeting wasn't the greatest but at last Berwick have won, and now have a genuine No1. Gappmaier continues his good form and Howe could prove a shrewd signing, certainly has let nobody down in his first two meetings for the club while the enigma Bridger continues his struggles.
  12. As its a draw the just now can we claim to be equally rubbish as the Panthers.
  13. Robert Lambert has qualified through to the next stage of the Under-21`s, in fact he won the meeting today in Eskilstuna.
  14. Had there been no covers then there would be no speedway tonight, that is a certainty, hopefully most of the rain has now gone and things will start to clear up. Still lots of clouds around but it is brighter than before and at time of writing no rain.
  15. Weather has closed in now, rain continues to fall. If it stops as forecast they the meeting will be on but if we get to 5 or 6 o`clock and we still have this rain it will be next to pointless to take them off as its doubtful we would see a full meeting.
  16. Constant drizzle throughout the morning, hopefully as forecast this will clear later on this afternoon and the covers do their work.
  17. Must admit even with Hansen, Holder, BWD etc I still would go for a home win as it might just be that Peterborough just aren`t that good so if changes are threatened it might be best to meet them now. On a side note I take it we will have the pleasure of the company of the Panthers No1 fan or is he spreading the Labour gospel.
  18. Hansen hurt himself in a crash in Sweden last Thursday, he was due to take his place in last nights meeting, now he will sit out tonight. http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.3067.2
  19. Some rain over night, right now its just about dry but very cloudy. Plan is to cover the track this morning, forecast cast is for rain today which will hopefully clear by the time the meeting starts later. I`m sure Berwick will be keen to get this meeting on as given the changes to the Peterborough team they will never have a better chance to get their first league win this season. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819
  20. Liking your optimism, though giving Berwick`s form so far this season there was not much top back up the away win claims.
  21. Hard on the heels from winning the latest round in the British Championships Leon Flint has now announced a new racing partner. This lad is clearly going places. https://www.leonflintracing.com/single-post/2017/05/18/Flint-Announces-Silkolene-Partnership
  22. Berwick are planning to cover the track in the morning in a bid to save tomorrows meeting from a poor forecast, they posted the following message on their Facebook page. Due to the ever changing forecast we are looking for volunteers to help us cover the track in the morning. We plan to have all hands on deck between 8/8:30am but we are dictated to by the forecast. If things change we will keep you informed. Thanks in advance and feel free to share as many hands make light work of a job only our great club is currently undertaking anywhere in the speedway world! Free Teas and Coffees will be on hand for all helpers.
  23. It is a bit of an odd one, you tell the rider he is being sacked then offer him a chance to race this Thursday, I bet Hall`s reply was quite colourful to say the least.
  24. I hear Redcar are about to replace Richard Hall.
