Speedway World Cup 2017
screm replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Probably not, but then again not many of us expected Team GB to win last night and go the Final directly. Obviously Leszno will be a completely different in fact and kind of medal will be a huge achievement. -

Just as every speedway fan knows the Polish team will have been putting plenty of laps in round the Leszno track over the last few weeks, and quite right to, just as you can bet the PZM will do everything to ensure a Polish team win next Saturday. Yes I know its an FIM event but the track will be just as the Polish riders want it. -

Cook looks the real deal tonight, and hopefully a SGP rider next season. Great move on Holder. What on earth was Milan Spinka thinking there, utter lunacy. -

Had it been Lakeside or Wolverhampton then fare enough as that kind of track would be different to anything he will ride on the continent but not Kings Lynn, anyway a good rider should be able to adapt to any track. -

Aussies coming back into things now, surprised how poor the Czech`s are and Milik inparticular who on the continent is far better than this. -

What on earth has happened to Edward Krcmar, couple or three seasons ago he looked to be a decent prospect but now looks like an also ran. -

last thing Morris needed was another off, Team GB need to take advantage here. -
I agree with your sentiment, Woffinden shouldn't be allowed to pick and choose when he does or doesn't ride for Team GB. That said however Team GB is stronger with Woffinden in it than not and with Team GB seeded through to the Final, should we get the SWC next year, if he makes himself available again his selection is automatic.

Poorer riders of equal standard can make for good races, we don`t need the fancy pants superstars of SGP to have a decent nights racing on the tele. -

Hope your never a juror, you`ll have the defendant found guilty before he`s had a chance to enter a plea. Lets see what happens, this track can throw up great racing, lets hope tonight is one of those nights. -
Although battered and bruised it seems Nicolai Klindt has got away without any broken bones. This was posted on his Facebook page. Nicolai is as stated before, badly bruised, but nothing is broken as far as we know. "I'm pretty sure my ribs are bruised around my chest. I'm just fed up with crashing when it ain't my fault. Just have to move forward. Luckily I have a week off now". Nicolai would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and messages, but he hasn't had the time yet to get back to anyone.

No Doyle tonight for the Aussies so Max Fricke comes into the team. -
The mish mash of riders doubling up here there and everywhere has become ludicrous so I agree that the sport is run for the riders with the paying customers a very poor second, seems some promoters expect their fans to turn up on any giving night and sometimes at short notice and watch two teams made up of R/R`s and guests a plenty. The fixture list has become even more complicated than the doubling up, meaning planning holidays from work in order to follow their teams for many fans has become a thing of the past. Also IMO many promoters have giving up actually going out and promoting, if things keep going tracks will disappear meaning the sport losing more fans though in some weird way less could mean more.

I`m sure Buster will pull out all the stops for tonight, I hope we get a good race track but also a track prepared in a way that gives our team the best chance of winning the meeting. -
We want to try being Berwick.

No more could be about it as Kennett has been dropped by Rye House so is very available.
