  1. I`m sure picking up wages for a paid sixteen will cushion any blow from this defeat.
  2. Doolan by his own standards has been poor of late, hopefully he gets back to normal very soon. Agree with you on false starts, in fact I would argue the pit gate should never be opened, maybe we could use the rule as it is in SGP where a warning stays with a rider throughout the meeting.
  3. Fair to say a draw was never really on the cards with yet another drubbing away from home for Berwick, but on a positive note everyone made to the end of Ht15.
  4. I was delighted when Buster became chairman as I thought he would be the one to bring real change for good, he said in an interview in Speedway Star that he would throw away the rule book and start a new, sadly we are still waiting in fact of anything the rules are more confusing now than they were when Buster took over. I still believe he`s the right man, but how you bring significant change when you need the backing from the rest of the promoters is posing to be a problem.
  5. I believe that may have added to the problem, we had a trainee referee who was being supervised by Mick Bates, IMO he could've been firmer with the riders and raced Ht15.
  6. Maybe, maybe not, but it would've been nice to have at least tried.
  7. Or the away team as they are otherwise known. Joke Joke Joke for all the touchy types out there.
  8. I`m afraid I still haven't changed my opinion from last night but I except what David Howe was saying, as ever he did speak well when trying to put the case for the abandonment. Biggest problem I have is that we watched three or four heats in the rain shower of which the last of those finished around 8-50pm, even with our curfew that gave the track team thirty minutes minimum to get the track something like raceable, sadly there was zero effort in that direction and a total disregard for the paying customers in the stands . The weather had gone in fact as I left the car park the sun had come out again so the track wouldn't have got worse only better and even if after the track work the meeting was abandoned at least there had been a bit of effort put in. The dirt was pilled indeed up against the fence but surely we have the equipment to move the dirt back down.
  9. So it seems you are suggesting that the good lady has taken a doubling up position.
  10. We had a trainee referee tonight, might have been an idea if he, or his assistant and grown a pair and pushed on with the meeting, or at least ordered some track prep. Take your point, but its fair to say Berwick fans have had their fare share of rubbish this season to put up with, now this massive own goal.
  11. Might not be a bad thing to have no meeting next Saturday, many in the main stand very angry and wouldn't be back. Hopefully by the time Sheffield hit town things will have calmed down and those fans will return, but there will be some who wont.
  12. Dont think riders ride in wet conditions anymore.
  13. How about Coty Garcia, his next meeting for Redcar will be his last and he is available on a free loan.
  14. Absolutely agree with you, I couldn't believe it. I was all ready to come on here and wax lyrical about a great night at the speedway and how speedway in this part of the Country at least wasnt quite dead, now I feel cheated and frankly right now I wonder why I bother. Fourteen heats of great speedway, all built up for a great HT15 then utter farce, why is it British speedway can find a way of screwing a night out at the speedway Its fair to say Bigeddiechek and i rarely see eye to eye, but he has summed everything up perfectly. How much damage this has done to an already dwindling Berwick support will be seen at the Sheffield meeting in a couple of weeks.
  15. But aren`t we told that any rider can look good blasting round lap after lap in practice. IMO our riders need exposed to big pressure meetings more often, that will need an attitude change from many riders who appear unwilling to test themselves in regular racing in European leagues, and to be honest why should they when they can make a reasonably comfortable living racing in two leagues in this Country.
  16. I`m guessing that this is your go at sarcasm.
  17. We had plenty rain this morning, still very cloudy but forecast from now is an improving one.
  18. Nicolai Klindt‏Verified account @nklindt 12m12 minutes ago More i have chosen to give it a go tonight in the SEC, because it was my biggest goal before the season.
  19. According to this Poole press release Nicolai Klindt will miss the rest of the season. http://www.poolepirates.co/news/2017-07-15_lahti-joins-the-pirates-party.html
  20. Yes but one of them also decided he doesn't want to ride for Team GB and has thrown his rattle out of his pram and taken his ball home.
  21. Lewis Rose 8️⃣ 2️⃣ 2️⃣‏ @Rose822 4m4 minutes ago More Broken the same collarbone again bent the plate and pulled a couple screws through heading home to get operation done . gutted
  22. Doesn't matter of their whining, happy clapping, or anything else, the important thing is they are coming through the turnstiles each week. When that doesn't happen there`s a problem.
  23. Over the last few seasons Lahti has done reasonably well in European leagues so I think Poole have made a good move, in fact I`m surprised one or two other clubs in the Premiership or Championship haven't looked at Lahti before now.
