  1. Nicki has already said coming back isn't about the money, anyway you would imagine he has made enough to live a reasonably comfortable life without risking paralysis should he have another accident. Clearly it's something Nicki feels he wants to do, I hope a day doesn't come when he regrets his decision.
  2. You are probably right though there's fewer and fewer actually getting their backside trackside these days.
  3. On what grounds Berwick & Scunthorpe are back in the meeting.
  4. Havent been to Kings Lynn for a couple of seasons so I`m looking forward to this one.
  5. on the one hand its great to see Nicki back doing he does best, however I stick by what I said the other day in that the reward isn't worth the risk. IMO I don`t see Pedersen ever being World Champ again.
  6. Whilst I accept that the Hall to Cradley move is perfectly legal IMO it makes a complete mockery of what the NL is supposed to be there for, seems some clubs have adopted a win at all costs. Getting Hall on a 6pt average just makes it worse. http://www.cradleyheathens.co/news.php?extend.1705
  7. After events of a couple of weeks ago, plus all the fun and games we`ve had this week with the in out 4`s, it will be actually nice to bikes on a track.
  8. Here`s the groups. GROUP A Peterborough Edinburgh Sheffield Workington Scunthorpe GROUP B Glasgow Newcastle Ipswich Redcar Berwick
  9. Seems like the supporters bus is running again.
  10. First off we were all going to the 4`s, that then became the 5`s, now we are all going to the hokey cokey`s, first you are in then you are out out then you are in. I expect by lunchtime tomorrow we`ll be out again.
  11. Race formula posted on the Berwick 2015 thread which seems decent enough to get all ten teams to the meeting.
  12. I agree with you on five rider races, I`m amazed they were actually considered in the first place. Surely they must be a race format somewhere out there where all ten teams couldve still taken part in the meeting. I wonder if one or two of the riders who protested will take part in the 16-lapper at Ipswich, yes they don`t all start on the same line but you have eight riders in the Final there.
  13. Everyone that apart from the good fans of Berwick and Scunthorpe, must admit its a bit of a kick in the goolies the the vice chairman of the BSPA, wonder how he really feels about his club not being in the event.
  14. Going by this release from two days ago the BSPA were saying all ten Championship teams were in the meeting, now two days later they aren`t. http://speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.32841
  15. Here`s one, what an idiot I am thinking the even the BSPA couldn't make a mess of this one.
  16. The idea of five riders in a race should've been a non-starter, any fool could work that one out, surely there must've been a better way to sort out the meeting format the reducing a great event to an utter farce, but thats the BSPA for you these days.
  17. From reading the press release are the BSPA saying some of the riders of Berwick and Scunthorpe protested and refused to ride, or is it riders of other clubs protesting and so get their way the BSPA needed to boot out Berwick and Scunthorpe being the two bottom clubs. If its the latter I think the BSPA are duty bound to name these weasels.
  18. Berwick booted out of the 5`s which has now become 4`s.
  19. Isn't our sport run with the up most integrity and professionalism. You kind of think Lewis Bridger got it right a few weeks ago, and poor Lewis ended up with a fine.
  20. With so many blank dates in clubs fixture lists this season why couldn't we just bring back qualifiers, or maybe actually qualifying for things have gone out of fashion these days. The 4`s is usually a long meeting, with five rider races I`m guessing this meeting could be a marathon, I`m at the Kings Lynn v Somerset meeting the following night, will the 5`s be over by then I wonder.
  21. Nothing to do with talent, Bridger`s back injury is worse than first thought and has been ruled out from making a track return, though Bridger himself seems to have moved on from speedway so maybe we wont see him return.
  22. IMO I hope Nicki retires, risking permanent paralysis just isn't worth it. He has won everything, and proved to be one of the greats.
