You appear to contradict yourself, one minute your arguing Holder is furthering his career then you say he's chasing the big money in Poland. Surely to further his career it would be better for him to ride for Peterborough today in a BSPA show case meeting and give something back to the club that helped further his career.

I've heard that thirty piece's of silver is the going rate.

Buster Chapman - Is He Good For The Sport?
screm replied to SCB's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I thought Buster would be the right man to get speedway at least on a sure footing and start to build towards the future, I was wrong, in fact of anything its more of a shambles now than before so I don`t see Buster lasting after this years AGM. Thing is suitable people to take over and make the much needed changes aren`t exactly thick on the ground. -
Maybe this meeting along with other BSPA events should be put in riders contracts at the start of the season, although some contracts to riders these days aren`t worth the paper they are written on.

Clouds are high at the minute but it looks like there may be a bit of rain around later on. Berwick Rangers are at home today against Clyde so there will be no covers used, hopefully for everyone, especially for those who have organised the meeting any rain will either be light or pass over quickly, or both. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819

I am sure Peterborough Speedway will put out a statement saying how they feel for their rider and what an awful position he has been put in, what they should be saying is that they expect Holder to be at the EoES on Sunday, in the Peterborough team and not in Poland. Time will tell but I think we all know the answer to that one.

Peterborough would get a guest facility should Holder miss Sunday`s meeting and get a ban, which he wont. First because Peterborough will back down and let their rider do as he wishes, and second because our governing don`t have the balls to get tough with certain riders who choose to miss one of their meetings.

Berwick v Belle Vue in what was the last meeting of the season during Berwick`s one and only season in the then British League. Belle Vue refused to turn up to the meeting as they were having their end of season bash the night before. Berwick completed the meeting on their own.

Thankfully as you say it seems that the injury picked up by Jye Etheridge last night won`t stop him taking part in Sunday`s meeting, though God knows what Berwick would've done had he had to miss meetings. -

To the letter of the law, oh how I wish the BSPA would stick to the rules, the BSPA are quite correct in blocking Berwick`s move to replace a Busk Jacobsen. I would imagine this rule was brought in to stop teams changing riders virtually on a weekly bases to either try to get in the play offs or to win them out right, however thats hardly the position Berwick finds themselves in. I agree with an end date to signing new riders as straight replacements but there must be a rule for the position Berwick are in now where they have lost a rider to a genuine injury and are being blocked from signing a replacement. It could be argued that the clubs who face a Berwick team with six riders either home or away are at an advantage against the teams who faced Berwick with seven. -
I would imagine Belle Vue are now in the same position as Berwick who have been blocked in their attempt to sign a replacement for an injured rider. They now must go with R/R for the rest of the season.

Looks like Berwick`s attempt to sign an injury replacement for Nicolaj Busk Jacobsen has been blocked by the BSPA and the Bandits have been forced to go with R/R for the rest of the season. -

My feelings entirely, well said.
