As I posted a few weeks ago after another bout of vandalism, I hope those responsible are dealt with and then reported. CLUB STATEMENT We are sad to inform everyone that Shielfield Park was broken into and vandalised last night. Both Berwick Speedway and Berwick Rangers FC have fallen victim to theft and vandalism for the second time this season and we are absolutely devastated. A large amount of stock and keys to essential track preparation equipment have been taken and we encourage anyone on Shielfield Terrace, Etal Road and surrounding areas to keep an eye out for the vehicle keys. Unfortunately lots of things have been vandalised and Northumbria Police are assessing CCTV footage and forensics are working to identify the guilty parties as we write this. After an incredibly tough season this was not the news we wanted to wake up to today. This a blow to everyone involved in making Berwick Speedway happen and we will do our very best to work through these problems and be ready for action on Saturday night for one last time in 2023!

Very sad news, Gordon was at Berwick a few weeks ago as spectator and was a welcome guest. RIP.
-
Steve Boxall has been banned for thirty days falling his drug test at Plymouth last week, obviously this now means he will miss this Saturday`s Bullets match with Belle Vue where Berwick will get a guest facility.
-
So Worrall is banned for thirty days even though his clubs have finished racing.
-
Cynical I know but you don't think that Buster isn't to fussed about trying to keep Peterborough speedway going as it might just get one or two extra along to his beloved Kings Lynn from Peterborough.

	Hope this video helps.

Peterborough v Wolverhampton 11/09/23screm replied to scoobydoo's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League Given the injuries to the Sparta Wroclaw riders of late its no surprise that Laguta has been "persuaded" he may have an injury and to rest tonight.

Currently on his way to hospital for tests, best wishes to him as it was a nasty one.

Berwick vs Plymouth SGB Champ 7pm 09/09/23screm replied to StevePark's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway I have some sympathy with Plymouth with the team they are putting out tonight, injuries to Gilkes, Barker and possibly Howarth is hardly their fault, and the Ritchie Worrall situation is down to the rider and nobody else. But how hard havbe the Plymouth promotion tried to book adequate replacements, probably not all that hard to be honest. Very poor from both clubs that no announcement on the two respective sides, and literally nothing from the home side about the teams they are asking their customers to pay good money for, seems they`re happy to get people in first then surprise at the parade.

Berwick vs Plymouth SGB Champ 7pm 09/09/23screm replied to StevePark's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway Ukraine v England in the football, England v Argentina in the rugby, free guided walks along the Union Chain Bridge along with a silent film with live music at Norham Village Hall all creates the perfect storm that will see many not bothering tonight, and no amount of free parking will save the day. Personally the tripe that I sat through in Glasgow`s demolition of Berwick a few weeks ago was enough to end my season there and then and the efforts at Scunthorpe last night have done nothing to convince otherwise. Also the apathy shown from both clubs is another good reason not to bother.

Unfortunately for Berwick, its normally them that are doing the chasing at Shielfield, and to be honest they`re no great shakes at it giving our home record.
-
Scunthorpe wanted to win by 26pts then, yet more slim pickings on the road for Berwick. A 1pt return for a former sgp rider and a sgp winner to boot is quite frankly embarrassing.

Its a case of two wrongs do make a right.

Hasnt been the best of weeks for Plymouth. http://scbgb.co.uk/news.php?extend.161.1

Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)screm replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League Proof if proof were needed that making changes just for the sake of it isn't the way to go most of the time. The team manager should have a few questions to answer.

Sums things up perfectly when a rider is off chasing the big pennies in Poland first chance he gets, so much for loyalty. Funny thing is Redcar seem quite happy with it. If you allow riders to take an inch, don't be surprised if they take a mile.
-
Home win by as much or as little as the home side want.

Difficult to know what to make of the Craig Cook situation without knowing the whole story. What is clear is that not to many seasons ago Craig was right up there as one of the top riders at Championship level and a very decent rider at Premiership level, now he is a shadow of that rider, which is sad to see but time moves on and maybe Craig`s time has come to do something else.

Absolutely, Worralls private test isn't in question as I am sure it showed whatever Worrall claims it showed, however its the Plymouth test where the issue is and the one that sees Worrall`s license currently suspended, if Worrall can provide evidence to show the test was faulty, or the test is just plain wrong then fine.
-
Worrall failed his test on Tuesday night, I`m not sure what his private test proves or does not prove, maybe he is saying the test that he took at Plymouth on Tuesday was faulty. It still doesn't alter the fact that he has a case to answer on his failed test on Tuesday.

Phillips at it again, this time at Birmingham.
