  1. Forecast has changed slightly from yesterday with a few showers around for today, one of which we are getting now. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819
  2. Weather set fair for tomorrow so hopefully we will get a good meeting. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819
  3. Berwick have managed 30 and 37pts on previous trips to Ipswich this season, I`d be disappointed if we cant be those totals.
  4. I don`t see doubling up being as much of an issue if the top leagues goes to fixed night racing, if the status quo remains then doubling up will still be the problem next year as its been this. For example if Nick Morris re-signs for both Swindon and Berwick, and the top leagues goes to Monday and Wednesday`s, then there should be only very minimal fixture clashes which will hopefully eradicate the need for as many guests.
  5. I don`t think anyone would want to see the end for Peterborough, its a great venue and the home of the 4`s. However when punishing Rathbone its inevitable there will be a knock on effect to the speedway club.
  6. I think one big league is a non-starter as I don`t believe there would be enough riders to go round, also I think the difference in standard between the top riders down to reserve riders would be to great, I know we had protected races where there would be two reserve races but even so I don`t see one league working. IMO doubling up isn't the problem, only when the riders two clubs are racing on the same night does it become a problem, if Premiership went to two night racing, Monday & Wednesday say that would largely eradicate the problem of Premiership and championship meetings clashing, which would reduce significantly guests which is the real problem IMO.
  7. Going into the second legs IMO Stal Gorzow will over come their 4pt deficit, the second semi is much more hard to predict, Leszno will go to Falubaz as favourites.
  8. The second day rain off facility would only be for the Under-21 event Lambert rode in yesterday, not for a Polish play off meeting that he was due to ride in today. Though in a weird way because of yesterday`s meeting, and today`s rained off league meeting Newcastle have ended up running R/R.
  9. I can`t give you a first hand account on any rumours, though what is accurate is that Worral and Lawson had to be pulled apart in the pits prior to the Berwick v Glasgow meeting a week or two back.
  10. Great to see Jarek Hampel back to the kind of form he was in re-injury from the SWC, but he`s holding Flaubaz together so far, IMO the likes of Dudek and Doyle need to get going or they will face a big deficit going into the second leg.
  11. Rumours suggest Mr Worrall has been doubling up.......when he shouldn't have been. Think Mickey Dyer.
  12. Only a guess but maybe Lambert`s postponement in Poland today a made a difference.
  13. Ok Monday`s and Wednesday`s then, that would still have minimal affect between Premiership and Championship. Obviously there is league racing in Denmark that night but that doesn't seem to cause to much trouble as maybe it once did.
  14. Doubling up isnt all the problem, it only becomes a problem when the riders two clubs end up racing on the same night, moving the Premiership to one night per week racing would at least help in reducing guests as at the minute no Championship club races regularly on Monday nights.
  15. Wouldn't the only way that Newcastle could get a guest facility was to claim Robert Lambert was with holding his services, up side would be the Diamonds get guests, down side is that Lambert would get an automatic ban.
  16. I hear the scenes in the Berwick pits a few weeks ago were quite hilarious.
  17. Looks like it was called off around lunchtime, our time, I would guess it would be just about impossible for Lambert to make it to Newcastle in that time. https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/708765/w-lublinie-przegrali-z-pogoda-spotkanie-przelozone-na-czwartek
  18. Looks like Robert Lambert`s meeting in Poland has been postponed due to rain, re-arranged for this Thursday.
  19. It was a comfortable enough win in the end for Berwick though it should be remembered that Newcastle were well in this right up to halfway, in fact they lead early on but it was another welcome win. One positive thing about our away meeting at Ipswich this Thursday is that they should have the use of Nick Morris as Swindon dont have a meeting that night, though Morris will miss our meeting with Sheffield on the 16th of this month.
  20. Can anyone confirm who is taking the No7 position for Berwick, official site says they intend using Jack Parkinson Blackburn but are waiting on an injury update as Jack fell in a meeting in Prague during the week, update site has the No7 position as TBC.
