  1. Believe me having seen Klindt ride at Shielfield he is better off in Italy.
  2. Berwick at full strength for tonight, Workington going with R/R for the absent Klindt. http://www.berwickbandits.co/news/berwick-vs-workington-part-two-tonight-7
  3. Fantastic result for Berwick and maybe a win that got away having been 8pts up during the meeting. Great to see Danny Gappmaier taken his form from reserve into the main team, unfortunately not the same for John Lindman going the other way, hopefully he gets that put right in tonight's meeting.
  4. Whether Workington went with R/R or a guest for tomorrow night both would be a better option for Klindt who has normally struggled in his meetings at Berwick.
  5. If there is a track out there that should suit Berwick its Workington, so here`s hoping.
  6. Berwick`s new averages according to the BSPA site effective from yesterday are Aaron Summers 7-54 Nicolai Busk Jacobsen 6-50 Kevin Doolan 6-24 David Howe 6-09 Danny Gappmaier 5-36 John Lindman 5-20 Jye Etheridge 5-05
  7. I don`t see the Lawson illness being the issue, be it his illness or his nearest and dearest, the issue is should Lakeside have been granted a guest facility.
  8. Connor Mountain was the model of consistency in the qualifying heats, then won his semi. Must admit I was slightly surprised the Final wasn't pulled back as Mountain lifted alarmingly going into the first bend messing up Bewley and Greaves.
  9. If you like your speedway close with plenty passing and re-passing then this wasn't the meeting for you as the racing was well strung out with little or no chance of passing especially on a track so slick. In some ways this kind of racing was to be expected when you look at the gap in experience between the likes of Robert Lambert and some of the riders with little experience in riding not only in these meetings but on a track as big as Berwick`s. Lambert was a worthy winner and went virtually untroubled all night, I hope he can start making the strides onto the next stage of his young career.
  10. Great to see Richard Lawson back racing after his ahem ahem illness.
  11. Weather set reasonably fair for tomorrow with only a chance of light rain sometime after nine, so hopefully by then we will be in the vary late stages of the qualification races. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/0/2655819
  12. Is there not a rule now where you can bring in a guest for any of your top three, though the reasons for Lakeside being granted a guest facility on Saturday do seem ever so slightly spurious.
  13. You have to feel for the Newcastle promotion, they try all winter to secure a No1 and having found one at the last minute they now lose him through no fault of their own. Obviously they will receive a guest facility for 28 days and then make a signing in that time, but could Lewis Rose not come back into the team once he has had his time away to get whatever needs sorted sorted. On the other hand now that the Polish league has started and one or two riders are getting the regular racing they thought they would maybe Newcastle could look there as surely a full time job at Newcastle is better than waiting for a chance in Poland.
  14. I agree as Tuesday`s meeting will almost entirely rely on local support to get any kind of decent attendance, I wonder if it was considered where if you attended the meeting on Tuesday you would get some kind of discount for the Workington meeting next weekend as three home meetings in seven days will be stretching things for many fans, especially those with families.
  15. And heres the other side of the sad story. http://worldspeedway.com/buxton-speedway-hitmenunhappy-at-postponment/
  16. Completely agree, surely a national championship should take priority, though from a Berwick perspective if this gets Leon Flint into the meeting proper then happy days.
  17. According to this it was only Tom Wooley that was sent out, either way the supporters of both teams have ended up short changed and out of pocket, something that happens far to often in speedway these days. http://www.birminghambrummies.co/news.php?extend.2610
  18. Seems this meeting is in doubt due to a soft patch on the parts of the track, Leon Flint and Tom Wooley are testing the track after which a decision will be made.
  19. Last nights result was about as unexpected in a good way as last week defeat was in a bad way, a very welcome win. Obviously Lakeside`s efforts weren't helped with the loss of Ostergaard to injury while on a 5-1 in Ht3 but I always felt Berwick had just about enough in hand to win.Delighted to see Doolan back on form and Jacobsen gets better each week. John Lindman`s form this season hasn't been exactly brilliant but I thought in his last two rides last night he looked far more on the pace, in the first few meetings he has been mounted on JRM equipment but last night was on GM`s, hopefully that will do the trick.
  20. After last week Berwick have plenty of questions to answer, lets hope they answer them as they will need to be at their best to beat this Lakeside team.
  21. https://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.34125 Meeting will be streamed live by the BSPA.
  22. Nikolaj Busk Jacobsen has had a very decent night riding for Newcastle in their home meeting with Redcar, he has scored 9+1 from four rides.
  23. Makes next weeks meeting very big, a home win and the good times will be back, losing doesn't bare thinking about.
