Lakeside Hammers v Berwick Bandits 15/6 8pm
screm replied to Daytripper's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Only three positions in any team is fixed, the top rider in the averages must ride at No1 with the bottom two average riders at six and seven without preference. After that its up to the team manager and riders to sort out positions 2,3,4 and 5. -
Matej Kus on that average is indeed a bargain but would he be available for all of Rye`s Wednesday meeting as I think the Czech league runs on that night and Kus is part of the Marketa Prague squad.

Lakeside Hammers v Berwick Bandits 15/6 8pm

Predictable enough result though Berwick did at least do 2pts better last night than the previous night at Sheffield which is something. -
Berwick 1 Aaron Summers 2 Kevin Doolan 3 Jye Etheridge 4 David Howe 5 NB Jacobsen 6 Mathew Wethers 7 Danny Gappmaier Edinburgh 1 Ricky Wells 2 Joel Anderson 3 Josh Pickering 4 Mark Riss 5 Erik Riss 6 Coty Garcia 7 Max Ruml Weather at the minute if fine and dry but there is rain forecast for later today, fear not though as the track is being covered this morning so there shouldn't be any problems.

Sheffield v Berwick SGBCL 14/06/18 @ 19.30

I doubt there`s a Berwick fan out there, that isn't locked up for their own safety anyway, thought they would stay at the top. -
Sheffield v Berwick SGBCL 14/06/18 @ 19.30

I didn't expect a win, nor a point, but I thought Berwick could muster up more than thirty two. Credit to Gappmaier and Howe who at least showed some resistance but the others, well they will need to provide a better performance tonight at Lakeside than last night at Sheffield. -
Sadly for Buxton even 30pts would be a surprise.
-
Not necessarily as race sponsorship would still be available on any race card, anyway looking through any programme how much is actual sponsorship where companies pay for their space or how much is companies who provide a service to the speedway and get free advertising space in the programme in return. Might open up new venues for sponsorship opportunities.
-
IMO the speedway programme has become dated, a simple race card would do just as good a job.

Leon Flint finished a creditable 9th in yesterdays 250cc European Championship in Randers Denmark. He was the top British rider with 7pts, his fellow countrymen Nathan Ablitt and Jordan Palin finished with 5 and 3pts respectively. The meeting was won by Denmark`s Marcus Birkemose with 15pts.
-
Apart from SGP meetings I get a programme, thing is I never keep them and they usually end up in the bin after a few weeks.
-
The supporters club has been the one constant success over the years at Berwick and without their donations the club would be in a sorry state, possibly/probably not there at all.

There`s a bit of news we didn't see coming. http://www.poolepirates.co/news/2018-06-11_ford-moves-forward-without-holder.html

Going by the latest averages on the BSPA site Pijper is the lower average of the two reserves, but as long as the BSPA recognise the Longtrack GP series Berwick should still get a guest facility.
-
Leon`s European Final due to take place in Denmark today has been postponed due to rain, it will now take place tomorrow at 5pm.
-
Was it announced last night as to how many meetings Theo Pyjper will miss for Berwick next weekend, he is certain to miss Saturday`s meeting with Edinburgh, possibly Lakeside next Friday depending on the rules regarding practice and signing in for the Speedway Longtrack GP at La Reole.

From the attendance I think its clear what the Poles thought of it. -
If true then the lady got what deserved and hopefully will be banned from Shielfield Park, supporters like this we all can do without.

Not all of us it seems.

Looking at the updates what ever happened to the advertised " tapes up at 7 ".

Bit difficult to team ride when you are second and fourth then first and fourth, both Woffinden and Lambert rode out of their skin and deserve huge credit. -

Maybe in future SON meetings when there is a race off or a final should there be a 3-3 the team that finished with the most points during the qualifying races should go through, though had Team GB won in the way Russia did I doubt there would be many on here complaining though having read through some of the posts I`m not so sure as its beyond me how anyone can criticize Tai Woffinden with the way he rode in the final. He was the best rider, showed excellent team riding skills and lead the team superbly, Team GB did far better than anyone could have expected and like Tai said this year is the first year in a five year plan. -
How eloquent.

Incredible to see people complaining about coming second, so much to build on IMO so its over to you BSPA to give Team GB the tools to be first.
