Said many times before I know but I get the feeling this winters AGM really is the last chance to get some things at least sorted, rumours persist that there is one Championship team who hasn't paid their riders for a week or two, and a Premiership team who are the verge of going the same way as Rye House.

Then there would be no league. -
Revolving doors at virtually every other Premiership club, so why shouldn't Somerset join in. Bit of a surprise in signing Summers though, that a long drive from his current base just outside Berwick for every home meeting.
-
Take nothing away from Workington they thoroughly deserved their win, even more impressive when you consider they lost their best rider and were carrying young Bickley at reserve. Sadly it looks very much like yet another season that is going to peter out at Berwick, must admit, and this is the first time I`ve ever posted this but if last week and again this week is anything to go by the actual racing entertainment at Berwick is virtually zero with no passing of any note then I will certainly be picking and choosing my meetings from here on in, thing is there arent to many more meetings left to pick and choose from.

After losing his team in the Premiership Aaron Summers has now signed for Somerset.

Workington v Berwick 06/07/2018 7:30pm Ch

Lets just face facts, Berwick just isn't very good away from home these days, and haven't been for a season or two. i know its a different fixture but the last time we went to Workington Berwick came away with a creditable draw, how can they be 14pts worse off. Any announcement as to why NB Jacobsen was missing. -
The continuing decline of Speedway

Not as much for those who say, I used to go to speedway years ago, or speedway haven't been for years. A great night at the speedway is still just as great now as it ever was, sad thing is there`s a fraction of us there now to see it. -

SGB twitter page is showing R/R for NB Jacobsen. WORKINGTON take on their oldest rivals Berwick in the Championship at Derwent Park tonight. How do you see this one going? -
Hopefully this link will work, live coverage of Leon Flint in the Final of the 250cc Championship should be here.
-
Congratulations to Leon Flint who yesterday qualified from his semi final in Gdansk to reach the final of the World 250cc Championships. The Final will be held in Torun tomorrow.

Not quite sure you can put the failing of Rye House solely down to Buster though I will concede it has happened on his watch. Don`t forget Buster needs the rest of the promoters with him to get anything significant done.
-
Don`t think there is enough riders to make one big league.
-
While this is certainly sad news it probably doesn't come as a total surprise, rumours of some kind of a deal involving Lakeside have either been wide of the mark or any talks have failed, either way its the good supporters of Rye House who will suffer most and those I feel sorry for most. Hopefully Rye House will return next season but IMO there`s a lot of water to run under the bridge before then.

From people who attended the meeting I've heard nothing but good things so well done to all at Redcar. -
SGB championship fours 1st July redcar

Congratulations to all at Peterborough speedway, in the past they have been accused of being Champions just because they were on their own track, but now they really are worthy Champs. Interesting to here the comments from fans who were actually about the day in general, parking, facilities, and Redcar as a suitable location. -
If I had a pound for every time I`ve heard that, don`t forget its very difficult to see what changes are needed when your head is buried in the sand.

Seems the help is there if the BSPA are willing to use it, not just this Rye House situation but so many others, rule changes etc where the BSPA seem intent on alienating themselves from the paying speedway customer, never before have I seen so many fans turning their back from the sport, and once they`re gone they`re gone for good.
