Berwick v Edinburgh CS 4/5/19 @7-00pm
screm replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
To be fair Sedgeman has never been all that great round Berwick, though he was very poor tonight. Not that great a meeting, and a comfortable home win which sees Berwick through to the semi finals. Danny Gappmaier must infuriate our team manager, next to useless in our away matches yet can turn in match winning performances like tonight. -
If Gappmaier is the problem, away from home anyway, I`m not quite sure that Theo Pijper is the solution.

Home win and quite a comfortable one at that. -
Excellent performance from what was a four man team, one wonders if the away performances from our No3 position is under scrutiny. Great at home but is that enough.

Can I guess, I will plump for Josh Bates guesting at Edinburgh with Kyle Howarth guesting at Berwick for NB Jacobsen.

Poole v Belle Vue Thurs 2nd May 2019
screm replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Belle Vue will be missing Dimitri Berge for this meeting, Berwick`s Coty Garcia comes in as a guest. -
Busy few days coming up for Coty Garcia, two meetings for Berwick Friday and Saturday against Edinburgh, but before then he will be guesting in place of Dimitri Berge and riding for Belle Vue in their meeting at Poole tomorrow night.
-
Only guessing but I think its unlikely we will see Jye Etheridge at Edinburgh. Also I think JB Jacobsen misses Saturday night for the return fixtures, where a guest will be needed, I take he will be at the Friday fixture.

Id get your feeling seen to, home win for me with just a possibility of Berwick getting a point.

Leon finished with 4pts, interestingly the rider booted out by Scunthorpe after only three meetings Jedd list finished a very creditable second.

And you got your answer last night.

Decent enough meeting, as most though and expected Robert Lambert was a class above and was only really troubled for a lap in the Final, still a worthy champ. Cant remember if he had been to Berwick before last night but I thought most impressive rider was Tom Brenan, when Eastbourne come come for their league match he could be a trump card for them at reserve. Impressive performances from Drew Kemp and Jack Thomas, there seems that good things are happening in British speedway with the younger riders and i thought last night was evidence of that. All 22 races in the main meeting done and dusted before 9-30 curfew, no fallers, no re-runs so well done to all concerned.

Only seen Chessell in one meeting when Glasgow were at Berwick last weekend, sadly for rider and club Chessell looked woeful and completely out of his depth. Either things need to improve quickly or Glasgow will have a decision to make.

Why would anyone go to a meeting where you dont know who is riding, bit of an own goal from Mr Cook. -
PSC • Poole Pirates v Swindon Robins • Good Friday

Very probably though you would be surprised how many will change their tune if he should turn up in a Poole race jacket. -
Mixed news on a couple of Berwick riders today as they raced for their other clubs, Leon Flint made his NL debut in their home win over Stoke where he scored a five ride paid maximum. NB Jacobsen was riding for Poole today in their meeting with Swindon where he scored five plus one, sadly Poole lost the meeting 37-53.
