  1. Berwick announce Stewart Dickson as new team manager. https://www.berwickspeedway.com/news/dicko-takes-charge/
  2. You have to hand it to Robert Lambert, in the last two seasons he has only ridden a handful of meetings, some as a guest, yet he walks away with two league winners medals.
  3. Posted by NK Iversen this morning on Twitter. Status after crash last night. Scans shows nothing is broken but I am pretty battered. They kept me in hospital overnight for observation due to a knock to my chest. Thanks for all your concerns. Haven’t been able to reply to everyone yet
  4. Decent night for Leon at Redcar, he scored 10pts, unfortunately for him Redcar lost both on the night and on aggregate in their KOC match against Scunthorpe.
  5. Leon Flint guests again for Redcar tonight.
  6. Poor old Tai is completely classless, I was always taught if you had nothing sensible to say then say nothing, clearly Tai didn't get the memo.
  7. Just seen the Robert Lambert interview after last nights meeting, what a petulant spoilt brat he comes across as.
  8. IMO Leon Flint has a decision to make, where does he see himself in 5-6 seasons time. If he wants to be in the argument for representing Team GB on a regular bases and knocking on the door of the big meetings around Europe, SEC possibly SGP Challenges then he must leave Berwick. He has done his bit as local rider but now needs to move onto further his career, if, on the other hand he wants a comfortable career where his team place is completely safe but his level is where he is at now, then he will stay at Berwick, maybe even signed up for next year already. The likes of Robert Lambert and Dan Bewley should be his example.
  9. Up date on Facebook on Charles Wright. Update on Charles Over the course of the last few of days, Doctors felt Charles had made positive progress in terms of pain management and mobility and allowed him out of hospital to rest and recuperate at our hotel, under the strict instruction not to travel home due to the significance of his injuries and his lung pneumothorax’s. Charles has not been formally discharged as yet and awaits further X-rays and tests tomorrow and if we receive positive news, he should be given a fit to fly. It could of course go the opposite way but we’ll cross that bridge should we come to it. Although Charles can walk unaided for a short distance, he is predominantly getting about by wheelchair. Today we will make it back to where this journey began to watch the final at Sparta Wrocław - it will be momentous occasion for them and for us as a family. Hopefully everything is moving in a positive direction and with everything crossed we hope to get the long awaited discharge papers and we can plan the next stage of the journey in coming home! As always, thank you to everyone for their unwavering support in all realms. Leanne
  10. Thanks for the loads of messages after today's accident. A broken tibia in my left leg means the end of the season for me. I would like to thank the team in the ambulance at the stadium for their great care, and the hospital at ZG for their professional approach to the case. Thanks also to the Garcarek Family Message posted on Twitter by Musielak.
  11. For which I am perfectly happy to volunteer for. Not that it makes it anymore or any less acceptable but looking at some photos of the damage it seems that Berwick Rangers have been more affected than the speedway. Damage to their club shop and other parts of their football facilities.
  12. Can someone take the shovel off this poster, they`re digging a hole they`re not going to be able to get out of.
  13. Oh look everyone, its Mr Over reaction.
  14. As I posted a few weeks ago after another bout of vandalism, I hope those responsible are dealt with and then reported. CLUB STATEMENT We are sad to inform everyone that Shielfield Park was broken into and vandalised last night. Both Berwick Speedway and Berwick Rangers FC have fallen victim to theft and vandalism for the second time this season and we are absolutely devastated. A large amount of stock and keys to essential track preparation equipment have been taken and we encourage anyone on Shielfield Terrace, Etal Road and surrounding areas to keep an eye out for the vehicle keys. Unfortunately lots of things have been vandalised and Northumbria Police are assessing CCTV footage and forensics are working to identify the guilty parties as we write this. After an incredibly tough season this was not the news we wanted to wake up to today. This a blow to everyone involved in making Berwick Speedway happen and we will do our very best to work through these problems and be ready for action on Saturday night for one last time in 2023!
  15. Very sad news, Gordon was at Berwick a few weeks ago as spectator and was a welcome guest. RIP.
  16. Steve Boxall has been banned for thirty days falling his drug test at Plymouth last week, obviously this now means he will miss this Saturday`s Bullets match with Belle Vue where Berwick will get a guest facility.
  17. So Worrall is banned for thirty days even though his clubs have finished racing.
  18. Cynical I know but you don't think that Buster isn't to fussed about trying to keep Peterborough speedway going as it might just get one or two extra along to his beloved Kings Lynn from Peterborough.
  19. Given the injuries to the Sparta Wroclaw riders of late its no surprise that Laguta has been "persuaded" he may have an injury and to rest tonight.
  20. Currently on his way to hospital for tests, best wishes to him as it was a nasty one.
