  1. To be honest no as the first lap going from a standing start will be worthless. Maybe the riders could have one sighting lap then their minute could start but I thought last nights first attempt at qualification was a success, possibly they could look at sending out riders in batches of four then do a track grade rather than sending out half the field then track grade then the other half as there seemed to be an advantage to those going out early, Doyle and Zagar for example.
  2. Currently misty, dull and wet, forecast for later is a bit of a mixed bag. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819
  3. Could be bad news for Berwick but the Danish semi final which was due to be held in Brovst tonight has been cancelled, I haven't seen any re-arrangement announcement but if its held over until tomorrow that will full out NB Jacobsen for Berwick.
  4. First one but I think the SGP qualifying could be a success, came over great on television, not sure about in the stadium but overall a success IMO.
  5. Is it me or is the clock stopping after the rider crosses the start line.
  6. Berwick 1 Aaron Summers 2 Kevin Doolan 3 Jye Etheridge 4 Danny Gappmaier 5 NB Jacobsen 6 Coty Garcia 7 Leon Flint Sheffield 1 Danny King 2 Kasper Anderson 3 Ty Proctor 4 Drew Kemp 5 Kyle Howarth 6 Broc Nicol 7 Zaine Kennedy Tomorrow nights likely teams.
  7. Meeting rearranged for Tuesday May 28th with a 7-30pm start.
  8. Those of us who bought season tickets will be pretty cheesed off if the club pull the plug, though this rumour can be put to bed quite easily by a quick press release. As others have said not the greatest forecast for part of Saturday, lets hope we get some racing especially I can only see a home win and a great way to start our Championship season.
  9. Is that likely, difficult to see things when your heads in the sand.
  10. No changes for now. https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/other-sport/speedway-sheffield-tigers-and-the-rumblings-of-discontent-on-the-terraces-1-9766545
  11. Probably all of the above, admission has been £15 for a couple of seasons now and IMO £15 is more than enough for Championship speedway, certainly the stop start nature to our fixtures have lead to some finding other things to do each Saturday night. Its definitely worrying that the club are sending out warnings on crowd levels, especially when you consider we have raced local tracks so far, the team is doing reasonably well and there was a decent take up on season tickets which gave the money up front. we were told before the season started that the club had cut their cloth accordingly and that riders had taken pay cuts to race in the team, to find we could be in for more financial difficulties is a worry, lets hope crowds improve very soon.
  12. That could be Sheffield`s problem if they are to make a change. Kyle Newman ?.
  13. Normally I would agree, though with this there is previous regarding Garrity and his non-appearances at Edinburgh.
  14. You already have one American in Broc Nicol why not go for Luke Becker and have another.
  15. Or the year before, firstly because of a funeral then he was involved in a motorway accident, now his van broke down en route for last night. Very unlucky if true.
  16. Bit of a shambles really from Scunthorpe, not helped by Jason Garrity crying off.
  17. Maybe not so much now, with Australia, Denmark and Team GB dropping points it just possible that the lesser nations might just get a chance of a race off.
  18. Much better ride from Cook, Tai still looking for a set up that will work.
  19. Huge slice of luck for Team GB, unconvincing IMO from Cook.
  20. Thankfully for Jason he has six days to get his van fixed for his next Scunthorpe meeting.
  21. I hope he has a great meeting tonight, as far as getting a Premiership team I think Craig`s reputation is beginning to go before him now.
