  1. No rider should be exempt from criticism if they are not doing what they should though the fact is both Garcia and Gappmaier have increased their averages this season, Garcia`s will come down a touch as his last couple of scores have been poor, three on Saturday and one yesterday. Gappmaier`s average is pretty much made from his home scores only as his away scores apart from yesterday and at Sheffield have been poor. My own opinion is that I am in favour of team changes if they are for the good of the team and make the team stronger, I have a feeling though at Berwick team changes will come down to the budget the club is restricted by and for that reason I dont see the team changing this season.
  2. NB Jacobsen guesting tonight for Belle Vue in their meeting at Peterborough, for those with BT Sport its their live meeting tonight. Sadly Aaron Summers misses out for the home side.
  3. Wouldn't disagree with you regarding Garcia, he has flattered to deceive at times though the bottom line is he has improved his average and thats all you can ask for.
  4. Part of the planning rules that allow speedway at Berwick
  5. For what its worth I enjoyed Saturday`s meeting as IMO I got value for money and that's all I ask for, I look forward to more of the same this week hopefully. Decent racing and a surprise home win.
  6. Tangled with Josh Bates and Ryan Douglas at Berwick last night, must make him doubtful for tomorrow night.
  7. Having already lost Jye Etheridge to injury Berwick were dealt a further blow when Aaron Summers had to withdraw today feeling the affects of the Ht10 crash from last night. Giving those facts its to Berwick`s credit that they at least put up the fight they did going down 54-36 so well done to the remaining five riders.
  8. Mr Barrie announced his retirement about three seasons ago, maybe he thinks he's the Rolling Stones as they seem to have been on their farewell tour for about 25years.
  9. Enjoyable meeting with lots of close racing and run at a decent pace even with a nasty accident at the start of Ht10. Danny Gappmaier was the star of the night but proves just what an infuriating rider he is, hopefully we will see Danny take last nights form into today. Scott Nicholls was a joy to watch yet again at Berwick and was worth much more his 8pts and as mentioned earlier it was great to see Summers, Douglas and Bates get up after tangling at the first bend at the start of Ht10, hopefully Jye Etheridge will be able to take his place in today's match. All in all in good meeting with value for money with an excellent turn out from Leicester.
  10. It does indeed, that must mean that NB Jacobsen is racing though just to be on the safe side I'd count the rider's in the pits before hand as I thought they were only going to add up to six. Maybe Seb Alden has brought a bike with him.
  11. The drizzle we had earlier has past and things are looking better now. Clouds seem much higher and its dry. Excellent preview of tonight's meeting with all the latest team news over on the official site.
  12. Leicester fans should be able to stand or sit where ever they like.
  13. The ending to that story was that Peter didn't bother telling Dym that he had been dropped, right up to the point that Dym turned up at Berwick the following week only to find he had been replaced.
  14. Aaron Summers 7.18 - 7.75 NB Jacobsen 6.58 - 6.92 Jye Etheridge 6.30 - 5.65 Kevin Doolan 6.09 - 6.47 Danny Gappmaier 4.84 - 5.32 Coty Garcia 4.47 - 5.20 Leon Flint 2.00 - 3.00 First figure is starting average, second is current average as of a couple of days ago. The team average at the start of the season was 37.46, currently it is 40.31
  15. Forecast for today, currently drizzling. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819
  16. Very possible but with low/dwindling crowds a home defeat wont do anything to help things. As others have said its pretty much all about home meetings.
  17. Thanks, a guest would be the best way to go to win this meeting. Maybe trying to save money.
  18. Unsure on this weeks rules but would Berwick have the option of using a guest for Jakobsen, that IMO would've been the better option.
  19. Away win for me by something similar to the cup semi a few weeks ago. I think lack of race winners will be our un-doing.
  20. I think in 2017 the then team manager and No1 had a big say in how the track was prepared. You would like to think something along the same lines would be happening now but I am not sure it is. Track prep seems so inconsistent IMO.
  21. The club will certainly have moved up a notch if we are now using carrier pigeon.
