  1. I agree about the POD post that was ridiculous and completely un-called for. Personally I will always post weather updates on the day of a meeting, if nothing else to assist those who have a distance to travel, thankfully something I dont really have as I`m five minutes from the track.
  2. One piece of team news I think that Alfie Bowtel is in for the injured Leon Flint.
  3. Why, I along with others are a consumer, a customer, a fan, a supporter, though for the last two you will need to ask our centre green presenter into which category I go. Its up to the club to attract people to Shielfield to see the meeting tonight, looking at the website up to time of writing you would think there is no meeting happening.
  4. We had a lot of rain yesterday and a little more earlier this morning, currently its dry and bright but as you say the forecast is a bit iffy. At the minute there is nothing to say the match wont go ahead.
  5. Saturdays`s forecast, currently cloudy with light drizzle. Giving the amount of rain we had yesterday we could really do with a dry day. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819
  6. Thankfully somebody does a preview for this meeting, looks like we`re back to Friday teatime preview from the Berwick site.
  7. Giving some of our recent seasons just getting the season into September is something to cheer.
  8. Great idea but in all of this what has Eastbourne done so wrong that have their deserved victory taking off them and are required to take part in a replay
  9. On the one hand if Craig Cook has a case to answer and deserves to be charged then I hope that happens asap, not least to put this episode to bed. On the other there`s no such thing as bad publicity, its just a pity Glasgow have already been to Eastbourne in the league as if they hadn't I`d be arranging the fixture for asap as Arlington would be busting to see a return of Glasgow and Craig Cook.
  10. Decent day for Aaron Summers, guesting for Leicester in their home win against Sheffield he scores 13+1.
  11. Hans Anderson has made his racing return in Poland today, hardly successful but good to see Hans back at least.
  12. Very impressive week for Redcar, point at Glasgow, full points away win at Berwick, win today and just for good measure a British Champion.
  13. Having two riders squaring up after a race or an incident is one thing, when a rider gets into a scuffle with a member of the track staff is quite another.
  14. The Redcar management should be congratulated on their recent team changes, they now look a very handy team.
  15. Sadly four empty seats, now they may have a had another reason for not attending but at the very least and to use Mr Barrie`s new thinking it should make his next article the the Berwick web site an interesting read as in his last effort he was exploring the possibilities of transferring fans, or at least the nuisance ones, maybe we could look at doing the same for centre green presenters.
  16. So the unbeaten home record in the league is gone and the chances of making a play off push now very difficult. True to say fortune didn't favour Berwick especially with Leon`s fall in Ht12 when second and on a 5-1 but take nothing away from Redcar, they won and deserved to do so. Biggest turning point for them was Jordan Stewarts Ht14 win as he had done literally nothing all night and was off a graveyard of a gate one. Berwick`s inability of race wins proved their un-doing.
  17. If reports are accurate on the update site there could well be repercussions for Glasgow Speedway and at least one of their riders
  18. In the article Mr Barrie says the now infamous post by Pod stopped a family coming to the Somerset meeting, which lost the club money at the turnstile, track shop and snack bar, fair point and that particular post was indeed unacceptable. Thing is there is a family of four who sit along from me who were none to happy about Mr Barrie giving results of the SoN meeting in Togliatti during the Somerset meeting, so much so that they were saying if there is a SGP on they would stay at home as they dont want to hear updates from the centre green. Lets see what happens later
