To be fair, the post states World's number one rider which, as he's a good few points clear at the top of the World championships, he is currently surely?
I don't know but you can't argue that the two events didn't limit our options and given our management's liking for tried and trusted PK would have been in with a shout!
Good post Steve. My comment above is intended to be more of a review than a team building suggestion.
Can't recall if I've asked you this previously but what's Chris Kerr doing these days? No chance of a UK return I presume?
Sorry to poke my nose in on this thread but if I were a Bees fan I'd be pig sick of my team manager's fawning over another club on twitter. The odd congratulatory tweet is fine but Havelock is disgustingly over the top. How is this man truly committed to the club that pays his wages?
Harder than ever to call this until we know what the set up next season will be but...
Tai - Has to return if we can fit him in
Freddie - Ditto
Adam - Would love to see him back but perennially cast in the fall guy role
Ty - Was the first half of 2013 a blip or the real Ty? How much will the injury plus Joe Haines retirement set him back? Got to be worth a go when fit
Ricky - Mr inconsistent but time is on his side and I wouldn't be unhappy to see him back
Jacob - Nailed on
Nicolai - Have we got room for a gating tart who is visibly unsettled when under any pressure and couldn't pass water but is otherwise like the proverbial off a shovel. Maybe
Ludvig - Relaxed if he stays, relaxed if he goes. Presume Brum won't want him
Misko - Will never pull on a Wolves race top again I suspect
Edited for double post and bread related typo
Two circumstances that also didn't help us following Tai's absence were Poole making the playoffs and PK getting injured. Darcy Ward or PK would have fared better than NKI and Cook I think
My dad said that once in the late 60s early 70s at Wimbledon (I think) the riders had a second tape behind their back wheels which if they rolled back they would touch or break and suffer an exclusion. Surely a simple but effective remedy to a major problem?
To be fair, by and large, Robson has done very well at Monmore Green over recent years so whilst I don't disagree with your broader point in this instance you are slightly wide of the mark :-)
