  1. Something must of changed, Dan Bewley rode in the French league on the 19th of February.
  2. Is this the same Wolves and CVS that was widely quoted as saying they wouldn't compete in a six team league. Yet here we are again same old same old
  3. IF this is correct why hasn't it been disclosed, why keep it secret
  4. I'm more confused after reading this thread than I was before
  5. I would be more worried about Birmingham, if they close, hopefully they won't, which of the premier clubs will jump first to take their spot
  6. A bigger league will only benefit 5 promoters of which he is one. Self-interest above everything, it is why speedway is where it is.
  7. Oxford would be better off following the isle of Wight style of meetings, it has to be better than the BSPL
  8. Bewley not really doing himself any favours tonight at Sheffield, three last places.
  9. Not been much in the way of quality to beat. A comparison of Lambert and Bewley on Polish form would be better. Plus home track knowledge will count for nothing, once fireman Phil has had his hands on the track
  10. If you want TV to help the sport it should be a 15 minute highlight programme. The TV could still show the "best race of the meeting" from four different angles, but the potential punters wouldn't be aware it takes over two hours to run.
  11. Thousands of ex supporters won't pay £20 to watch anymore why should Sky
  12. Some good races on a well prepared track, the future seems to be bright for Germany and Latvia. The UK need to get their youngsters abroad, the promotors refusing to release riders from pointless league meetings is stifling the talent.
  13. So the promoters decided the qualifying meetings don't matter, more fool anybody who paid to watch the worthless league.
  14. Strange that Russia, the only country that has won the speedway of nations is missing on that list.
  15. It would be a perfect opportunity for a new promotion at Oxford. Lower costs, control over the way to run meetings and a chance to gauge crowd attendance. It would make more sense than being tied into the BSPL without voting rights.
  16. Perfectly feasible, six riders riding as pairs, for home and away teams. They only need to change helmet colours. The promoters could save eight riders travelling costs
  17. The quote from the official BSPL statement on the under 21 WC qualification was. "It goes without saying that with their British commitments it absolutely was not possible for Tom and Drew to be able to do this. " How you wish to interpret that statement is up to you. I read it as due to the missed league meetings the promoters would not release the riders.
